They had been asking $3,995,000 at the start of the year.

They renovated the Gold Coast&nbsp;home&nbsp;having paid $1.9 million for the Tuscan-inspired&nbsp;home&nbsp;in 2017.

Foxtel Lifestyle&rsquo;s Selling Houses Australia team is back on the Central Coast, seeking to transform an unsold Empire Bay home for the Gilbert family.

Designer Shaynna Blaze, gardening expert Charlie Albone&shy; and host Andrew Winter will be taking on the acreage from next week.

The 1980s-built home bordering&shy; the Bouddi Nat&shy;ional Park has been listed for 280&nbsp;days &mdash; initially seeking up to $960,000, but more recently&shy; $890,000.

It has its last pre-makeover open for inspection this weekend.

Last traded for $895,000 in 2017, it has three bedrooms, an open-plan living area and a rear deck with a pizza oven.

Albone will have a lot to work with. The home sits on an elevated&shy; 4485 square metres with views across Umina.

Richardson &amp; Wrench Umina Beach agent Rachel Potter has taken over the listing.

Selling Houses Australia is filming its 13th season, having premiered in 2008.

They have been successful on the Central Coast recently &mdash; last season they secured the sale of a four-bedroom Bensville property post-makeover for $745,000, near the top of its $710,000 to $749,000 guide for down-&shy;sizing couple Margie and David Braunstein.

In the 2015 series, a nearby Bateau Bay makeover of a 1970s four-bedroom home with swimming pool sold for $540,000.

It had been initially priced at more than $600,000 before sitting on the market for six months.

Last season&rsquo;s finale was at Dolphin Point in the Shoalhaven district, where a 1960s beach house was snapped up pre-auction for $1.2 million after the makeover.

The four-bedroom home had been for sale for more than a year, the price having dropped to $1.18 million before its makeover.

Andrew Winter has yet to sell his own Gold Coast home. The renovated Sanctuary Cove property went to auction earlier this month but was passed in on a $3 million vendor&shy; bid. It was initially listed at $3,995,000 in January.

The Winter's secured the home in 2017.
It was always going to be a renovation project for the couple, who paid $1.9 million for the Tuscan-inspired home.

Selling Houses Australia and property guru Andrew Winter and wife Caroline are selling their Sanctuary Cove home on the Gold Coast.

They&#39;ve renovated the Marine Drive East home over their brief ownership, having paid $1.9 million for the Tuscan inspired home two years ago with a renovation in mind.

Now they&#39;re asking $3.95 million for the waterfront with 23 metres of river frontage and an eight metre pontoon.

Set on a 950 sqm block, the home is built around a central courtyard with a 15 metre swimming pool. Every one of the five bedrooms have direct access to the pool.

The fifth bedroom sits in a self-contained pool house.

Selling Houses Australia films in Brisbane this weekend at a home in the south west suburb of Jamboree Heights.

The home is scheduled for a transformation by&nbsp;Shaynna Blaze, Andrew Winter and Charlie Albone on the Lifestyle Channel show now in its 11th season.

The listing agent Helen Saba of More Estate Agents confirmed to the Courier Mail that the before shots and comments would be filmed this Saturday at the open home.

&ldquo;Many are looking at older homes to renovate and make it a comfortable investment to live in,&rdquo; she said.

With growth of 33.% in the past five years, interest in Jamboree Heights was heating up, she said.

The home at 28 Troop Street, Jamboree Heights last sold in 2016 at $530,000.

The Queensland beachfront cottage that appeared on last night&#39;s Selling Houses Australia only fetched $13,500 more than it sold for in 2011.

The home on the <a href="https://www.propertyobserver.com.au/%20https:/www.realestate.com.au/sold/property-house-qld-campwin+beach-126309502" target="_blank">beachfront at Campwin Beach</a> in Mackay sold for $415,000, after it sought $380,000 to $430,000.

First National Mackay Sarina Nebo agent Greg Brady sold the home after 215 days.

Interior designer Shaynna Blaze worked her magic, particularly on the kitchen, where she freshened up the bench tops plus cupboarding and added an island.

Initially seeking $539,000, the home is still for sale <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-qld-north+maclean-126605726" target="_blank">after the renovation</a> from the Selling Houses Australia team.

Interior designer Shaynna Blaze co-ordinated a new coat of paint, new flooring, blinds and an upgraded kitchen, while Charlie spruced up the outdoor entertaining area.

Starting his career in a real estate agency at the age of 17, Andrew was selling real estate across three decades.
Andrew and his family moved to Australia in 2005 where he went on to establish a boutique real estate agency with his wife. 
In 2008 the agency was sold to allow for more time for the family and to allow him to focus on his media career.
2016 and 2017 have seen Andrew expand his property interests to include direct involvement in the development of a small scale innovative terrace housing scheme in Brisbane.
He is looking forward to a second scheme launching in Ipswich.

Selling Houses Australia kicks off 11th season

The team at Selling Houses Australia has transformed an 18th century church in Black Hills, 110 kilometres north east of Adelaide, after it had been on the market since this time last year.

The marketing through Ennis Partners North Adelaide agent Richard Colley now suggests <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-acreage+semi+rural-sa-black+hill-124145650" target="_blank">it is under contract</a> after having a price tag of $250,000.

Colley said it received limited buyer interest over the past year despite its strong potential as a holiday investment.

&ldquo;We&rsquo;ve previously had the property on the market but I will admit, it was looking pretty sad,&rdquo; Colley told realestate.com.au.

&ldquo;One day, we were approached by Selling Houses Australia to do a TV program and renovate the church. The result is just &hellip; wow!

The two bedroom property, freshly painted, now features a brand new tiled bathroom, upgraded kitchen, wooden floorboard and several living spaces.

The two bedroom church sits on 4,000 sqm and was purchased in the early 2000&#39;s and converted in to a private residence.

&ldquo;The vendors purchased the property to run as a holiday home but unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, it didn&rsquo;t work out that way,&rdquo; Colley said. 
&ldquo;The property is a great buy and we did have some interest, predominantly from buyers with a low-economic background but they just couldn&rsquo;t get the finance approved.

&ldquo;They people we&rsquo;re looking at target now, following the transformation, are a completely different demographic.

&ldquo;I think the way it stands now, the property will appeal to investors who see value for money as the property is only located an hour from Adelaide and the Murray River is less than 18km away.&rdquo;

A restored Cobbitty cottage featured on the popular Selling Houses Australia TV show was one of the best renovation sale outcomes on the recent series.&nbsp;

The Foxtel Lifestyle team are now looking for another 13 fixer-uppers with one already earmarked for Campwin Beach in Mackay, Queensland.

The <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/sold/property-house-nsw-cobbitty-122899102" target="_blank">restored Cobbitty cottage</a> featured in the recent season of Selling Houses Australia sold quickly after its renovation.

Vendor Maree Kovac&nbsp;enlisted the help of the Selling Houses team after not getting the price she wanted for the home when she listed it for five months last year.

Kovac was asking $778,000 to $865,000 for the unrenovated home that she bought for $349,500 in 2002.

The inspectees at the mid-2016 open for inspections were advised to come back once the renovation of the three bedroom home was undertaken by&nbsp;property expert Andrew Winter, the landscaper Charlie Albone and interior designer Shaynna Blaze.

A rotting veranda had wrapped the dilapidated 1880s cottage that once stood alone overlooking the rolling hills of the Macarthur region.

Seriously deteriorated, the front of the home was completely overgrown.

Albone&#39;s work saw him remove the rotting veranda and reconstruct a new one using Cyprus pine.

The home was painted from its baby blue to a grey and a bright red front door.

Blaze, who focuses on the interior, added polypropylene plastic tiles, adding &#39;Alice in Wonderland&#39; style flooring to the kitchen which featured a new wooden bench top and sink.

The rooms were dressed&nbsp;in a French Provincial style, adding additional character and charm.

United Acreage Tanya Novek sold the three bedroom, two bathroom home &#39;immediately&#39; after the renovation for $835,000.
