Sydney-based luxury developer Sammut Group has signed Australia&rsquo;s largest builder Multiplex to construct its debut Gold Coast development, the $200 million absolute beachfront, COAST, at Garfield Terrace.

The appointment comes on the heels of the premium apartment project achieving a sales record for the Gold Coast with an average price of $5.25 million per apartment recorded as buyers flocked to the development following its release late last year.

COAST will rise on a prime beachfront site at 43 Garfield Terrace with construction scheduled to start this month following the appointment of Multiplex.

The appointment to deliver Sammut Group&rsquo;s $200 million COAST will add to the builder&rsquo;s already strong pipeline of projects in Queensland.

COAST will deliver a suite of beachfront residences over 35 levels to the Surfers Paradise beachfront, contained in a striking tower designed by PBD architects.

The appointment of Multiplex is a major employment boom for the Gold Coast with the project expected to employ approximately 400 workers during its construction period.

Sammut Group appoint Multiplex to build $200 million luxury Surfers Paradise beachfront apartment development, COAST

The Melbourne-based developer Lowe Living have only one apartment remaining in their luxury Bayside development Azura Aspendale, which saw solid sales growth despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Foster Street townhouse and apartment development was launched in March last year, the same month COVID had Australian's in lockdown. Within six months of the project launch, 26 of the 27 residences had sold.

Construction is well underway on Azura Aspendale, a mix of eight townhouses and 19 apartments created by design-studio Golden. They created the homes in collaboration with landscape architect Jack Merlo and Chamberlain Architects.The project is expected to be completed in late 2021.

Only one apartment remains at Lowe Living's Azura Aspendale

Sydney's harbourfront Rose Bay is set to get a new boutique beachfront apartment development.

Plans have been lodged for a small project of three apartments at 5 Collins Avenue, on the beach and facing the Sydney Harbour.

The $3.43 million plans will see the current 1910's Federation Arts &amp; Crafts mansion demolished.

The property belongs to Kate Champion, the wife of the Laser Clinics founder Alistair Champion. It last sold for $18 million in 2019.

Mollymook's finest home listed for auction

The 3200 square metre property last traded 18 months ago for $2,999,999.
It was renovated and landscaped last year by Kolenda, Jennifer Davitt and Adrian Lee.
It came with initial $3.5 million hopes.
The Hamptons-style house, with 125 metres of beachfrontage at Umina, was bought by Goldman Sachs managing director Nell Hutton.
