In anticipation of the establishment of the HomeCo Daily Needs REIT, HomeCo has entered into a binding contract to acquire Glenmore Park Town Centre for $150 million.
It has also agreed terms to a contract to acquire a second Sydney metropolitan neighbourhood centre for total consideration of approximately $220 million.
Glenmore Park Town Centre is a Woolworths, Coles and ALDI anchored centre with over 40% of gross income derived from supermarkets and over 30% derived from healthcare and wellness services.
HomeCo Executive Chairman &amp; CEO David Di Pilla said, “the proposed HomeCo Daily Needs REIT is consistent with HomeCo’s stated own, develop and manage strategy and establishes the platform for HomeCo to unlock additional value and growth through further capital recycling and ongoing management fee streams from assets under management."
"The property acquisitions announced today provide the HomeCo Daily Needs REIT with additional exposure to key growth corridors within the Western Sydney metropolitan area and will be important seed assets for the Daily Needs REIT,” he concluded.

Glendora Shopping Centre sells for $150 million

A Glenmore Park, NSW home has sold under the mortgagee auction hammer.
The four bedroom, two bathroom house sold for $607,000.
Geoffrey Blaauw and Hayden Green of Response RE marketed the listing.
Situated at <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/sold/property-house-nsw-glenmore+park-131340562" target="_blank">22 Woodlands Drive</a>, the property sold on June 29.
Set on 660 sqm, the one story house ""offers a large backyard with potential for an alfresco area (STCA)," according to the listing.
The house was first sold in 1994 by the Housing Department for $80,000.
It was then sold in 1995 for $82,500.
Last listed for rent in May 2018, the asking price was $500/pw identical to the price in 2015, which was an increase on the 2011 asking rental price of $450/pw.

Four bedroom Glenmore Park, NSW mortgagee home sold

Former NRL player Nigel Plum has pulled his Glenmore Park investment property from sale.
The Griffith-based Plum, who played for the Sydney Roosters, Canberra Raiders and Penrith Panthers over his 10 year career, paid $615,000 in 2013 shortly after the home was built.
The four bedroom home two separate living areas, a study and an alfresco entertaining area overlooking a swimming pool.
Plum was seeking $839,000 through Ray White Glenmore Park agent Robert Norgate before it was pulled. The home was recently up for rent at $750 a week. 
Plum was a fan favourite at the Panthers, spending most of his 150 game career there with 92 games.
In 2011 he was voted Big League Magazine's Hardest Hitter.

Former Cronulla Sharks star James Maloney has been a mover over summer. Now signed with Penrith Panthers, the star five-eighth has bought at Glenmore Park.

He and wife Jessica Anderson, who have two children, have settled on a $1,265,000 home, just 10km south of his new training ground.
It is in the same suburb that fellow Panther James Tamou bought when he moved his family down from North Queensland.
The marketing through The Property Company Penrith selling agents Adam and Danii Leatherbarrow described the street as “one of the area’s best cul-de-sacs”.

He paid $575,000 for the home in 2016 but settlement of the newly built three-bedroom townhouse has only just revealed the star fullback as the purchaser.

After being knocked out of the finals last week, Penrith Panther Tyrone Peachey can turn his attention to his new house building project.
The promising centre has just settled on a land parcel at Glenmore Park in the Bradley Heights Estate.
He secured a 460 sqm block for $530,000 which will be his home with fiancee Kellie and their eight month old daughter Penelope.
Peachey recently suggested he's a changed man after the birth of his daughter earlier this year and that she's settled him down.
He said he’s been given advice from fellow team mates and young fathers James Tamou, Sam McKendry and Dean Whare.
Construction on the home is expected to commence in two weeks, with the sale coming with approval for a two storey, five bedroom home.
Century21 Community First Merrylands agents Rafi Younes and Fernando Capati sold the parcel set opposite a nature reserve.
It had last traded for $435,000 in 2015.
Peachy began his career at the Sharks before signing for the Panthers in 2014.
He extended his contract at the end of last season to stay at the Panthers until the end of 2019.
Peachey grabbed a controversial late try in the win over the Sea Eagles in the second elimination final. They were knocked out last weekend by the Brisbane Broncos.

Penrith Panther Tyrone Peachey ready to build on Glenmore Park parcel

The new Penrith Panther prop James Tamou, who has made his way down from the North Queensland Cowboys, has just settled on a family home in Sydney's west. 
He's bought a Glenmore Park residence which will be home with wife, hurdler Brittney McGlone and their three children. 
The five bedroom, three bathroom family home cost $1.02 million.
He hasn't let go of his two Bohle Plains properties near Townsville, both currently tenanted and bringing in just shy of $900 a week.
Play money to a rugby league star who has just signed a $3 million contract over four years.
In a recent interview with the Saturday Telegraph, Tamou suggested he wanted his kids to grow up closer to their NSW based grandparents.
“We’re definitely a lot happier in Sydney,” Tamou said.
“I’ve got three kids now and up there we were a bit far away from family so that was a main reason to come down."
Tamou secured his maiden premiership in 2015 in the nail-biting final against Brisbane that went down as arguably the greatest of all time. 
Meanwhile some of the NRL's best have been active during the off-season on the property front as they gear up for another campaign.
Rabbitohs recruit Robbie Farah is seemingly preparing for life after football after spending $2,406,000 on a duplex redevelopment property in Wareemba in Sydney's inner west. 
It looks like it will be a knock down for Farah, who has gone into the project with brother Jason.
Currently the large 694 sqm land parcel homes a 1920s solid brick residence, however it was marketed as a 'premium parcel of land with duplex potential' by LJ Hooker selling agent Ben Horwood.
The listing also said that it is rare for such a large, flat and wide parcel to become available.
It has three bedrooms, one bathroom, an updated kitchen and a large rear terrace with parklike backyard. 
There's been no development applications lodged yet by Farah. 
The Sydney Roosters stalwart Mitchell Pearce recently paid $1,665,000 for a two bedroom garden apartment in Randwick, but hangs onto his Cremorne apartment, leasing the three bedroom unit for $1,200 a week.
Trade hopping former Bulldog Curtis Rona, who takes up a new spot at Western Force, rented his new Elderslie home that he bought just last year.
The Kiwi ace paid $739,990 for the four bedroom family home before making his decision to head out to the west coast. It's tenanted at $620 a week.
Of course Gold Coast Titans star Jarryd Hayne sold his renovated pink Paddo terrace earlier this month after having $2,975,000 price hopes.
There's moves interstate too, with Bulldog rising star Moses Mbye listing his investment in Tewantin, a suburb inland from Noosa.
He spent $395,000 on the home in 2014 but has had it listed for rent as he continues his time at the Canterbury team.
It has $450,000 hopes.
