Dangar started his screen career as an assistant in the ABC editing department, before heading overseas to be a part of the BBC and declaring himself an editor on his return to Australia.
He has now edited 24 feature films including Winter of our Dreams.
Considered as one of the best screen editors in the country, Dangar has won the AFI Best Achievement award in editing for Kiss or Kill.
In 1981 on Stir he was one of the youngest feature film editors in Australia.
His television drama work has included The Bangkok Hilton, Love My Way and Rake.

The former divisional director and head of training for equity markets at Macquarie Bank Rohan Boman and wife Anne have listed their Tasmanian Federation home Cooinda.
Originally from Queensland, the couple have spent many years living and Sydney and overseas but decided to settle in the south.
They paid $2.7 million for the home which sits on a sprawling 3.4 hectare parcel on the edge of the D’Entrecasteaux Channel.
Built in 1905, <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-tas-birchs+bay-119616911" target="_blank">the fully renovated Cooinda</a> has four bedrooms, a formal dining room, a central study and a sheltered garden terrace.
They keep chicken and sheep on the property which also features a 1984 renovated barn and a self-contained cottage.
Rohan is currently the director at Australian Whisky Holdings.
The property is listed through Knight Frank Hobart agent Pam Corkhill who has $3 million plus hopes.

Castlemaine landmark Green Gables, built in 1923 by the Odgers family, has been listed by the filmmaker and designer Maggie Fooke.
The late Federation homes comes with five bedrooms, a study and sunroom.

After two false starts, the Olympic fast man Matt Shirvington and wife, Jessica have relisted their Mosman home for a third marketing campaign.
The updated 1897 Federation home dropped off online listing sites earlier this year, but is back this time through McGrath's Michael Coombs.
Coombs has set an early spring September 10 auction date. The price guidance is $4.3 million to $4.6 million.
It had previously been with Belle Property Mosman which failed to sell the home after over 100 days on market.
The couple tried to sell the home back in 2012, however failed after spending 65 days on the market.
Set on a large 822 sqm corner block, the single level home has four bedrooms, a grand formal dining room and a private marble finished outdoor terrace. 
Shirvo, known as the second fastest Australian sprinter of all time, paid $2.5 million for the home in 2008, the year he retired as a professional athlete.
Since life off the track, Shirvington has appeared on Dancing with the Stars, and is currently a sports presenter for Sky News Australia and host of Fox Sports NRL coverage.
He and wife, author Jessica are childhood sweethearts, having been together since they were 17. She is the author of the popular Violet Eden Chapters series.
They have two daughters, Sienna and Winter.
Mosman is one of the slowest selling private treaty markets, according to CoreLogic, with their time on market currently at 70 days. The Sydney average is 34 days.

Livingstone Road's highest sale was $2.19 million in 2017 at 181 for Mungret, the 1881 Victorian home.
