Chippendale strata retail sells for record rate

<p>It comes as no surprise that <a href="https://www.walkscore.com/AU-NSW/Sydney" target="_blank">Walk Score's list</a> rates Sydney as the most walkable large city in Australia. </p>

Sydney provides a wide range of transport with ferries, trains, metro and the recently welcomed light rail amongst the many options available. </p>

<p>“With stock supply reduced in 2018, demand and competition was and continues to intensify which resulted in record-breaking prices in the city fringe.</p>
<p>“However, in the New Year we have seen a resurgence in Asian capital and active offshore buyers looking to secure prime investment stock.”</p>

Author David Malouf lists Chippendale terrace

<p>The Venetians bass guitarist turned Zurich financier Peter Watson has sold his Chippendale warehouse conversion for $1.25 million before its scheduled auction.</p>
<p>It had an early price guide of $980,000.</p>
<p>Watson paid $365,000 in 1999 for the two bedroom, north-facing apartment set in the Chippen Mews complex.</p>
<p>He's updated it since, with a renovated kitchen and a mirrored feature wall.</p>
<p>The Venetians were a 1980's synthpop act who released three albums, with their single So Much For Love, making the singles chart in 1986.</p>
