She bought the property in 1998 for $950,000.
Ms Jacoby has owned a slew of homes on the Pittwater waterfront over the years, including the $5.7 million modernist residence she bought with her husband, John Cary, five years ago.
Jacoby sold her former Avalon waterfront home in 2017 for $3.8 million and a 740-square metre vacant block of land behind it in August for $1.35 million.
The 936-square metre double block is largely bushland, but with a cottage built out over the water on a sandstone pier, a relic of the 1940's.

Avalon Beach trophy home set for weekend auction

The Avalon Beach house on George Street has been sold prior to auction today. 
The <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/sold/property-house-nsw-avalon+beach-132983374" target="_blank">three-bedroom, two-bathroom house</a> was auctioned through BLAKE Property and fetched $1,750,000. 
Built in 1950, the home was last sold for $690,000 in 2011.
The 539 sqm property has since been revamped with Blackbutt timber floors, and painted white interiors. 
A similar Avalon Beach home on Barrenjoey Road was sold last weekend for $1,680,000.

Avalon Beach house sold prior to auction

The home went to auction in November with a price guide of $7 million but as of yet the sale price has not been disclosed.
Situated at 141 George Street, Lachlan Elder of LJ Hooker marketed the home.
The five bedroom, four bathroom house sits on a 993 sqm block.

Avalon Beach trophy home Rahiti sold

Peter Higgins, who co-founded mortgage lending giant Mortgage Choice, has secured development approval to create nine luxury homes on his Avalon Beach estate, Marara.
The homes, on the vast 12,660 square metres Cabarita Road waterfront, have been designed by local architect Mark Hurcum.
No doubt the gated community will be as classy as Mitala, the recently completed Hurcum-designed project round at Newport.
The homes will be priced from $5.5 million to $12.5 million, with Peter and wife Rebecca set to retain one.
Marara, translated to flying fish in Tahitian, was owned from 1930 by gynaecologist Sir Herbert Schlink, who died in 1962.
His widow, gynaecologist Meg Mulvey, resided there until she died in 2001.
The couple met in 1945, when Bertie was 62 and Meg 28.
The Careel Bay holding was sold to Higgins in 2003 for $15 million, with another block added costing $3.2 million.

Peter Higgins to build nine luxury houses on Marara, Avalon Beach estate

Expat Herbert Smith Greenhills law firm chief executive Mark Rigotti and wife Mary have bought back in Sydney, emerging as the $4.1 million buyers of Cove House on Pittwater, in Clareville.
Set on 1845 square metres on the Hudson Parade dress circle, the master built trophy home has four bedrooms, including a separate guest wing.
The living spaces open to the grounds which have direct access to a private beach.
LJ Hooker Avalon agents David Watson and Andrew Mappin secured the sale.
Now living in Wimbledon, London, the Rigottis are expected back in Sydney next year.

It has been listed by the former SurfStitch founder Justin Cameron ands his wife Courtney who bought it from Greg Martyr, who sits on the board of advanced 3D manufacturer WarpForge.

Avalon Beach beachfront pavilion style home hits the market

Muriel Demarcus, the stylish wife of the Rio Tinto chief Jean-Sebastien Jacques, has bought again in Sydney.
This time it's a weekender at Avalon Beach.
The international couple reside in a $3 million apartment at Walsh Bay.
Demarcus has previously said Sydney feels like home and recently tweeted that Avalon was her “little bit of heaven”.
They’ve spent $3.25 million on a 1930s home that was described as a vintage bush cottage in its marketing by LJ Hooker agent Andrew Mappin, who secured the sale after just 30 days.

Jacques sold some Rio Tinto shares for £180,896 ($325,000) recently, although the advisory did not say it was to fund the beach house Down Under.
The couple arrived in Australia in 2016 after he was made CEO, but rather than take up residency in Melbourne where the mining company is headquartered, they opted for Sydney when they are not in London.

The former reality television chippie Luke Van Dyck and his wife Aime have listed their Avalon Beach home with $2,775,000 hopes.
They built <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-nsw-avalon+beach-131102158" target="_blank">the house</a> after subdividing and knocking down a 1950s cottage.
A longtime Avalon local and former Chadwicks model, Van Dyck is a third-generation builder.
Set on the 790 square metre block close to Paradise Beach, his eco-friendly new build saw everything constructed by hand with three distinct living zones.
The four-bedroom, two-bathroom home goes to May 30 through McGrath Avalon agent Adrian Venturi.
In 2003 Van Dyck was among the pioneers of reality TV renovation on the Nine Network’s DIY Rescue show, for which he was nominated for a Logie for best new talent up against Dr Chris Brown, then on Harry’s Practice, Daniel Frederiksen from Stingers, Home and Away’s Kip Gamblin, and Andrew O’Keefe on Deal Or No Deal.
The show was billed as offering the solution to “do-it-yourself-mad husbands and partners great at starting jobs around the house but lousy at finishing them”.
Van Dyck joined interior designer Tara Dennis and landscaper Greg Norton and host Leah McLeod, as they put broken homes back together.

Justine Cullen, the editor of Jones, the DJ's department store prestige fashion quarterly magazine, has finally sold her Avalon Beach home.
But despite its popular beachside chic design, like many Sydney vendors, it took 90 days to find its buyer.
McGrath agents Jonathan Fletcher and James Baker gave an initial $2.1 million guide for its February auction, but the guidance dropped before auction to $1,975,000.
After the auction, the agents endeavoured to find $1.82 million to $2 million.
They ended up suggesting $1,775,000 and won't say what price they eventually got.
Behind a white picket fence, the home has four bedrooms, with a designer stone kitchen.
Cullen paid $1.46 million for a quaint 1950s fibro cottage in 2014 and undertook its renovation two years later.
Over the Christmas break, Cullen, the former editor-in-chief of Elle Australia, married producer Hayden Guppy,and bought one street away.
