What a buyer needs to know about Collingwood's Duke Apartments: Five minutes with Noorden's Dave Lammond
Duke Apartments is bringing an apartment type rarely seen in the Collingwood market.
Duke Apartments, located at 93 Wellington Street, offers just nine whole-floor apartments, providing floor plans that will suit the downsizer who wants to be centrally located near the action.
In the latest episode of Market Insights, Urban.com.au CEO Mike Bird sits down with David Lamond, founder of Noorden Real Estate, to discuss Duke Apartments.
Lamond emphasises the appeal of the Duke's design, particularly for those who value privacy and lower operating costs.
Unlike many developments that feature extensive amenities like gyms and pools, Duke focuses solely on the apartments themselves, keeping body corporate fees manageable and suiting buyers who don't want a full suite of integrated amenity, or those who are treating the apartment as lock up and leave due to wanting to travel.
The Duke's design is a passion project for the architects at DP Toscano, who are also the developers.
Located just around the corner from their Collingwood office, Lamond says Duke is a project that is close to their hearts.
The apartments are designed to blend the raw, industrial feel of Collingwood with high-end luxury, featuring concrete ceilings, generous living spaces, and floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the interiors with natural light.
Each apartment offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a private lift that opens directly into the residence, emphasising the project's commitment to security and exclusivity.
Duke has already attracted significant interest, with four of the nine apartments sold. The buyers include both local downsizers and Australians living abroad who are looking for a Melbourne base.
Construction by Hamilton Marino is well underway, with completion expected by November, just in time for the new owners to move in before Christmas.
