Developed by Urban is well on its way to delivering one of the most unique residential developments Burnley has ever seen.

Construction has well and truly kicked off at Burnley Maltings, a redevelopment of the heritage-protected landmark Barrett & Burston Maltings, a historic malting factory that started life in the late 1800s as Terry's Burnley Brewery.

With everything going on at Burnley Maltings, we took a trip down to the display suite, located in the building's original caretaker's residence.

The townhouses at Burnley Maltings, on the border of Richmond, cater for multi-generational living but are low maintenance. All but one townhouse in the development of 37 residences offering three bedrooms, while several have a separate home office space and all have large rooftop terraces.

So far, Burnley Maltings has proven popular with downsizers from Melbourne's eastern suburbs, those who want to be closer to the action. The Gibdon Street development sits in close proximity to Burnley Station, several parks with signiificant gardens, and Burnley's 18-hole golf course, which is currently being redesigned.
