Recently I visited Wantirna, one of melbourne's top 5 most liveable suburbs*, to view the display suite of Oz Property Group’s latest development, Kingloch Parade. The 51 townhomes showcase the design of an industry-leading team and a future-focused approach to sustainable living.

KINGLOCH PARADE AT A GLANCE:

Address: 56 Kingloch Parade, Wantirna
Developer: Oz Property Group
Architect: DKO Architecture, SLAB Architects

Situated on the old Wantirna Heights School site at 56 Kingloch Parade, you're only a 30-minute drive from melbourne CBD. The suburb of Wantirna offers plenty of established amenities, including parks, a shopping centre, education facilities and convenient access to the EastLink freeway. I love that Kingloch Parade homes are tucked away on a quiet site, away from the main road.

The project has undergone an extensive two-year community engagement phase, where Wantirna residents provided feedback on the look and feel of the homes.

Realm Landscape Architects designed a considered planting scheme to allow the development to seamlessly fit its surroundings – with extensive greenery and even a stream* running through development. Not only is it great to look at, but the blue-green spine will also offer passive irrigation, creating a sustainable and practical space for years to come.

The feedback from locals also inspired the material selection – they wanted to see high quality, robust materials instead of light-weight cladding. DKO and SLAB architects incorporated a lot of brick for this reason.

Set to create a benchmark in green living, the development will hit 7 Star NatHERS energy ratings and will meet BESS Design Excellence.

A diverse range of flexible floorplans offer layouts to accommodate multi-generational living and working from home. All properties also feature mid-century inspired internal courtyards, which also help to add noise buffers within the home.

The interior tones are light and earthy. Clean lines create a calm, relaxing environment with concealed storage ensuring the home is livable yet clutter-free. The kitchens feature 3 metre stone benchtops with SMEG appliances and a minimalist pendant light suspended above the island bench.

Bathrooms include floor-to-ceiling tiling, frameless walk-in showers, beautiful timber vanities and a built-in bathtub. The secondary bathrooms feature a unique bench seat, designed to assist people with mobility needs or provide a handy chair for families at bath time.

Discover Kingloch Parade while it's still a hidden gem. The pricepoint is akin to its competitors, but the future-focused design sets this development apart. Submit an enquiry via Urban to receive the information pack or to book your own appointment to view the display suite.
