Developer Podia, in collaboration with joint venture partner Centennial, has appointed iCIRT-rated builder Ultra Building Co to build its luxury Neutral Bay apartment development, Wirra.

Wirra comprises 20 house-sized apartments, ranging from expansive garden apartments to penthouses, all offering views of the harbour or the city skyline.

Wirra's facade, characterised by flowing curves and honeyed sandstone, has been designed by the architectural firm MHNDU.

“We looked to the curves of the bay, Sydney Opera House, and Sydney Harbour Bridge, creating architecture that gestures, pivots, and speaks to the views," said Brian Meyerson, Architect at MHNDU.

The apartments will feature interiors designed by Richards Stanisich, who "sought to create a calm sanctuary where the play of light, reflection, and texture sits naturally alongside Wirra’s phenomenal harbour and cityscapes."

Each unit has three bedrooms, an expansive living area with triple aspects that extend to the balcony, a separate dining area, and a kitchen well-equipped with V-ZUG and Sub-Zero appliances.

Construction for the Wirra development is set to commence this year and is slated for completion in December 2025. The project sits on Ben Boyd Lane, a stone's throw from the Neutral Bay village.

Ultra Building Co is the first builder to receive a 4-star ICIRT rating, and also the appointed builder for Bourke & Phillip in Waterloo and Lindsay Bennelong Developments' Delano in Crows Nest.
