Developer Lindsay Bennelong has appointed Ultra Building Co to build Delano Crows Nest, their apartment and townhouse development on the outskirts of Crows Nest village.

The development at 33 Falcon Street, expected to be complete in mid 2025, pays tribute to the prevalent Art Deco architecture in the area while embracing contemporary innovation.

AJC Architects designed the three boutique buildings, nestled within beautifully landscaped gardens. The buildings comprise a range of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, as well as an exclusive collection of seven townhomes.

The buildings have been designed to harmonise with their surroundings and respect local heritage. Stepped forms and landscaped terraces ensure they do not overshadow neighbouring structures, while providing a seamless transition between the bustling commercial centre and the conservation neighbourhood.

At the heart of Delano stands a five-story building, gracefully descending to three stories along Falcon Street. The charming three-story townhouses are prominently positioned along Hayberry Lane.

All residences have been optimised for ample natural light and cross-ventilation. They are equipped with energy and water-efficient fixtures and fittings, promoting sustainability. The communal lobbies and corridors have been designed to harness natural ventilation and lighting. Additionally, residents and visitors will have access to convenient bicycle parking facilities.

Upper-level apartments boast leafy views overlooking either North Sydney or Mosman, creating a serene and picturesque ambiance. For outdoor enthusiasts, a communal grassed lawn, surrounded by gardens, offers the perfect space for relaxation, complete with seating areas and barbecue facilities.

Delano also places a strong emphasis on sustainability. Throughout the design process, careful consideration was given to implementing site-wide water harvesting systems and a comprehensive reuse system.
