Melbourne apartment of the week: Duke Apartments, Collingwood
Duke Ventures' latest residential development, Duke Apartments, is primely located in the popular northern Melbourne suburb of Collingwood and only a few minutes from the CBD.
Designed by DP Toscano Architects, this collection welcomes a modern aesthetic and air of sophistication that embraces top quality fixtures and fittings throughout the luxury build.
We caught up with David Lamond, Director at Noorden Property to learn more about the inspiration behind the project and some of its stand-out features that make this such a sought after development.
Urban: Which aspects of Duke Apartments are you most proud of and why?
David Lamond: Our building design responds to contemporary life and, in particular, to our society’s changing expectations to residential living within an urban context. We are offering apartments of a size, layout and quality that make a significant contribution to the inner city area, and which also form a key part of our commitment to an integral sustainable development model.
U: If a buyer was deciding between Duke Apartments and a similar residential development in the area, what do you think makes Duke Apartments unique and the favourable option?
DL: You own a whole level property – your own private lobby when you step out of the lift in your own apartment. Also high ceilings opening up and letting in so much natural light.
U: In your opinion, what are some of the best amenities on-site or nearby?
DL: You live in Collingwood – so many options of great coffee (my favourite is from Mr Peel on Peel street) walking distance to the CBD, public transport and restaurants of Smith Street (right around the corner)
U: What was the inspiration behind the design of the development?
DL: We bring a total design-oriented approach to property development
The design for Duke Apartments, Collingwood, presents an architecturally crafted, small residential development that speaks directly to the context of the site and surrounds, and to its industrial history.
U: If you had to use only five words to describe Duke Apartments, what would they be?
DL:
- Design
- Quality
- Style
- Sustainability
- Liveability
