Docklands offering on SQM's top 10 most discounted properties

Taking up tenth position on the Most Discounted Properties Nationwide list from SQM Research is a two bedroom apartment in Harbour Esplanade, Docklands, which was first put on the market in July 2013.

Since first listing the price has been reduced $185,000, according to SQM Research managing director Louis Christopher.

He said the unit, 1602/231-245 Harbour Esplanade, Docklandsis located within close proximity of public transport and is just minutes from Melbourne CBD. 

"The property made its way onto the market back in July 2013 with the vendor originally asking for offers above $650,000. Since then the vendor has reduced the price down to $465,000, a total reduction of $185,000," he said.

"The property consists of two bedrooms, one bathroom, and one secure undercover car space. Key features include Gas SMEG cooktop, stainless steel appliances, reverse cycle heating and cooling, ample storage space, and a dual access balcony.

"Over the past week 14 Endeavour Road, Georges Hall, NSW has sold by private treaty. The property was originally advertised with an asking price above $1.2 million, with the vendor only recently knocking this price down to $875,000. With a final sold price of $865,000, the new owner certainly grabbed a bargain, with the vendor selling the property a further $10,000 below the asking price. "
