Economists are unanimous that the Reserve Bank will leave the cash rate unchanged on April 2.

All 27 economists polled by Bloomberg expect the cash rate to remain unchanged at 3%.

The odds of a May rate cut also look slim with 18 out of 27 expecting no change on May 7.

NAB chief economist ALAN OSTER is the only major bank economist tipping a rate cut on May 7.

The polling was carried out on March 15.
