The former Croydon post office has sold for the first time in a quarter of a century. 
Situated at 1 &amp; 1A The Strand, the property comprises of two buildings - A medical practice that is leased for another five years, and a chemist.
It also includes off street parking for up to eight cars. 
Croydon Train Station is less than 50 metres from the property. 
The recent sale price has not been disclosed, however when it previously traded in 1993 it sold for $512,000.

A section of the old Echuca Post Office in northern Victoria is set to go to auction mid December.
The part for sale is a ground floor cafe, currently leased to the Café 3564 Wine Bar &amp; Tapa, as well as upstairs accomodation with two ensuited bedrooms. There's a third ensuited bedroom on the ground floor.
The ground floor comprises an atrium-style function room with an outdoor paved dining space with its own bar area.
Other parts of the building may also be for sale subject to private negotiations, and first right to negotiate will be offered to the successful purchaser.
Making up the other part of the building is a cafe with outdoor seating at the front, four more residences, as well as a ground floor retail space.
On the <a href="https://www.realcommercial.com.au/property-retail-vic-echuca-503014302" target="_blank">corner of Hare Street and Anstruther Street</a>, the Echuca Post Office dates back to the 1870s, when the two storey building with a clock tower over the entrance door was built.

The ground floor features a formal entry hallway, a master bedroom with full ensuite, a dressing room and a study/office.   There's a large lounge/dining room with atrium and a timber ceiling design that was formerly the sorting room for the post office. There's also a more modern extension with open kitchen/dining/lounge room with separate laundry/toilet.
Ray White Commercial Oakleigh agent Ryan Amler and Joshua Colosimo are handling the marketing in conjunction with Ray White Echuca's Stephen Morgan for a December 14 auction.
Amler said potential buyers will be blown away by how rare the opportunity is and the income returns that are on offer.   "Put simply, buildings of this calibre and location don't come around very often," he said.   "The Old Echuca Post office, complete with its own clocktower, was constructed circa 1875 and underwent a full refurbishment by the current owners for which they received recognition through the Victorian building awards.   “The 429 sqm part of the building has Commercial 1 Zoning and provides a combined rental return of $60,480 p.a. net with 10 per cent annual increases." 
The current freehold premises of the Echuca Post Office has recently sold through Teska Carson.
The property at <a href="https://www.commercialrealestate.com.au/property/227-pakenham-street-echuca-vic-3564-2014623155" target="_blank">227 Pakenham Street</a> is currently leased to Australia Post and is part of Echuca's retail and business precinct.
It comprises a single-storey, double fronted building of nearly 300 sqm on a 440 sqm site zoned Commercial 1.
The property was sold sibject to a five year lease, with a five year option, from July 2015 to Australia Post at $88,056 per annum, with annual three percent rent reviews.

Part of the old Echuca Post Office set to go under the hammer

The City of Sydney council has spent $5.3 million to buy the 1882-built former Redfern Post Office at 119 Redfern Street, Redfern.
The former Redfern post office has been sold on a 4 per cent yield, but was offered vacant possession with the owner set to relocate in 2019.
Fairfax Media noted it was to be converted into an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural hub.
The two storey, Victorian Italianate building at 119 Redfern Street was sold by international architecture firm DKO, who paid $2.6 million for the property in 2014 when it was sold by Linc Energy founder Peter Bond.
He had paid $2,125,000 three years earlier when buying from celebrity publicist Max Markson.
Since the 2014 trade, the building has undergone a brand new refurbishment from DKO.
It was tipped to sell for around $5 million.

Built in 1882 by colonial architect James Barnet, the four and a half storey corner clock tower and post office included a telegraph office, parlour, drawing room, three bedrooms, kitchen, a servant's room, bathroom, scullery, washhouse, fuel shed and two stall stables. 
In 1880, £3000 was provided for the erection of the Redfern post office, and then the Public Works added a clock tower for an estimated extra £700.
The building has 480 square metres of internal space on its 330 square metre Redfern Street block. 
When it sold in 2014, there were some who were looking at possibly turning the landmark building into a home.

Colliers International are marketing the building that was sold by Australia Post in 2000 for $600,000.
Colliers agent Tony Crane, who sold the building to DKO, said to see a high quality renovation of a heritage building was rare.
"It’s extremely rare to see heritage buildings restored to this level while still retaining the original heritage façade," Crane said.
"Redfern has become a burgeoning hub for creative business and 119 Redfern Street is well suited to the area and for those who are looking beyond traditional, corporate space."
Earlier this year Redfern's popular Alchemy commercial spaces were listed for sale, however none of the five commercial spaces have yet to find a buyer.
The Alchemy, further down Redfern Street, comprises the busy restaurants Bart Jr, Fern St, Isaacs and Juan. Isaacs takes up two commercial spaces.

Former Redfern post office for sale

Queenscliff's landmark 1880s post office along with its restored family home is being sold.
The original colonial property has been restored since it last traded for $1,573,000 in 2011.
It now comes with a guide of $2 million to $2.2 million.
Set in 550 square metre of manicured gardens flanked by pencil pines, the home has four bedrooms and a private courtyard.
The imposing stairs lead to a return verandah, while a grand dining room with sash windows features a cast-iron and marble fireplace, as well as a 700 bottle bluestone cellar below.
Fletchers Queenscliff agents James Gladman and Charles Caldwell are marketing the property.
The sale comes with a lease of $33,000 per annum to the post office.

Landmark 1880s Queenscliff post office listed

A historic Windsor post office conversion has been sold ahead of auction.
The <a href="https://www.realestateview.com.au/Real-Estate/level-2-153-level-2-153-albert-street-windsor/Property-Details-buy-residential-9354538" target="_blank">2/153 Albert Street</a> property had been listed with $1.8 million hopes through Emma Bloom at Kay &amp; Burton, and sold at an undisclosed price.
The 1900s property was engineered by Sir John Monash. 
The two-storey warehouse conversion, with eight metre high ceilings, has Monash's signature exposed metal trusses.
With original Jarrah floorboards and sky-high metal French doors opening to the streetscape where mail and money was winched up into the safety of vaults.
The two bedroom, two bathroom apartment has a terrace with an outdoor shower with plenty of natural light.
It last traded six years ago when designer Uschi Schwartz saw the potential of the then photographic studio.
The property, close to Chapel Street's cafes, St Kilda Beach, was scheduled for September 12 auction.
The building was built as the post master general’s office, remaining a post office until the mid-1970s, then sat empty until 2004 when it was converted into a photographic studio.
Ms Schwartz, who runs a Richmond arts studio, said she and her property developer husband, Danny saw the potential in the building immediately.
The median house price in <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/property-observer" target="_blank">Windsor</a> is $936,000, according to CoreLogic RP Data.
