<p>A luxury waterfront home on Lake Macquarie has hit the market. The home was obviously inspired by architect Mies van der Rohe’s Farnsworth House in Illinois, US.</p>
<p>The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home, located at Eraring, is ­expected to sell for $2 million.</p>
<p>Situated on more than 9000sqm, the home exudes a sleek luxury resort minimalism feel, with floor-to-ceiling windows, entertaining deck and pool.</p>
<p>The vendors are theatre production designer Mark Thompson and Kerry Crawford, the CEO of arts and disability organisation Accessible Arts.</p>
<p>Their building block was purchased in 1995 for $225,000, with the grounds including an artist studio where Thompson has painted. In 2009, he was an Archibald finalist for his portrait of actor Greta Scacchi.</p>

<p>McGrath Toukley agents Chris Smith and Mitchell Thomas have scheduled the auction for October 17.</p>
<p>The house is located on the ­western shore of Lake Macquarie and north of the town of Morisset.</p>
<p>Smith last month secured a $6 million Eraring sale when Mandalay, the luxury six-bedroom, six bathroom home, with 14-car garage, ­attracted six registered bidders mainly out of Sydney. A Sydney businessman secured it as a weekender.</p>

<p>He had bought the property five years ago for $1.58 million and ­undertaken a comprehensive modernisation of the estate.</p>
<p>The lakeside record had been $4.25 million when set in January.</p>
<p>Eraring is 30 minutes via helicopter to Sydney airport.</p>

Luxury Lake Macquarie waterfront hits the market

<p>Retired Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke retains an investment at Trinity Point on Lake Macquarie.</p>
<p>Clarke paid $1,388,888 for a townhouse when the estate was launched in 2015.</p>
<p>The latest offering at the Johnson Property Group’s 23 hectare marina resort are the off-the-plan apartments within the Polaris complex.</p>
<p>Keith Johnson advised half of the 24 two-and three-bedroom apartments were snapped up at the VIP launch at the recently opened Italian restaurant.</p>

Record sale at Lake Macquarie picked up by Sydney buyer

<p>Water’s Edge at Warners Bay has been given the green light for construction within weeks.</p>
<p><span lang="EN-AU">Water’s Edge, which will comprise 112 apartments, most with lake or pool deck views, is being developed by the construction company BLOC.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-AU">PRDnationwide agent Mark Kentwell says Water’s Edge has sold quickly since its release in September last year.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-AU">“More than 70% of the apartments have now sold off the plan," he said.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-AU">He is now selling the remainder and inviting expressions of interest for the ground floor commercial spaces.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-AU">“Warners Bay has been such a well-kept secret for so long, but thanks to the recent foreshore rejuvenation and the opening of so many great cafes and restaurants, we understand why Water’s Edge has proven so popular</span>.</p>

Rich Lister Luke Mullins to swap Lake Macquarie for Adelaide

<p>The luxury lifestyle development proposed for the shores of Lake Macquarie, Trinity Point has been listed with the Johnson Property Group seeking joint venture partners.</p>
<p>Its 3.5 acre tourism precinct has been listed through JLL’s Paul Hunter and Ben Hunter.</p>
<p>The tourism precinct will offer a 188-berth marina (94 already built), a five-star Pullman Hotel with day spa &amp; wellness centre, gymnasium &amp; business centre, along with a 250 seat restaurant and 300 seat function centre.</p>
<p>There is even a DA in for a helipad off the marina, sitting 88 minutes north of Sydney’s CBD and 30 minutes south of Newcastle.</p>
<p>The likely joint venture offering will include eight blocks of apartments consisting of 250 luxury apartments.</p>
<p>The entire development covers 23 hectares which includes a number of residential homes and terrace homes currently under construction.</p>
<p>It is a masterplanned marina community that features 196 lot sub-division, 20 terrace homes and 3.5 acres of what is known as the tourism precinct within its Morisset Park waterfront location.</p>
<p>The subdivision lots and terrace homes are currently being sold down to individual buyers by <a href="https://www.johnsonpropertygroup.com.au/trinity-point/" target="_blank">the developer Johnson Property Group</a>.</p>

Joint venture partners being sought for Trinity Point, Lake Macquarie tourism project

<p>The Lake Macquarie Trinity Point residential development received two awards at the weekend Asia Pacific Property Awards 2017-2018.</p>
<p>The project won awards in two categories - leisure architecture and hotel architecture.</p>
<p>This year's award was the largest in its history, with over 820 entries across all categories.</p>
<p>Trinity Point was designed by Architects Squillace, who have a reputation for delivering exceptional resort style facilities and five star hotels.</p>
<p>"We are thrilled Trinity Point is being acknowledged for its vision and we continue to focus on delivering world class luxury living on Lake Macquarie," Trinity Point chief executive officer Keith Johnson said.</p>
<p>The former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins is the face of the $388 million Trinity Point marina project at Lake Macquarie, which is accessed via the M1 Morriset motorway turnoff.</p>
<p>The project was first announced in 2006 for the site formerly known as the St John of God holding.</p>
<p>The NSW government approved a concept plan five years ago for the 23 hectare site which is around an hour and a half from Sydney and 30 minutes from Newcastle.</p>
<p>Johnson eventually plans around <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/expert-insights/buying/54825-stage-6-land-lots-released-at-trinity-point" target="_blank">190 residential properties</a>, 250 luxury tourist apartments and a boutique hotel. </p>
<p>The community comprises a mix of five-star resort, hospitality, retail, residential and marina components.</p>
<p>Johnson hopes the project will offer a combination of the vibrancy of Noosa or Port Douglas, along with the prestige and grandness of the Fairmont Banff Springs in Canada.</p>
<p>A foreshore boardwalk will trace the shores of Barden’s Bay, opening up the water’s edge to the public and a state-of-the-art function centre that will accommodate weddings.</p>
<p>Former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke has <a href="https://www.urban.com.au/news/48532-michael-clarke-buys-a-weekender-at-trinity-point" target="_blank">bought into the new development</a>.</p>

Lake Macquarie's Trinity Point already winning awards

Build for a cancer cure home up for auction at Teralba

<p>The Swansea Hotel in NSW’s Lake Macquarie region has sold for around $13 million to Laundy Hotels – the largest private hotel owner in the country.</p>
<p>The Swansea Hotel is located at the gateway to Lake Macquarie.</p>
<p>It is situated on a large 3,235sqm site, two hours from Sydney and 30 minutes from Newcastle.</p>

<p>It was sold through CBRE with 30 poker machines by the Bernie family.</p>

<p>Housing market performance across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie is currently mixed, according to CoreLogic's latest regional report.</p>
<p>On one hand, median values are increasing, up 8.9 percent for houses and 5.6 percent for units over the 12 month period ending June 2016.</p>

<p>Despite less sales activity across the market, homes are selling faster than they were one year ago, with houses typically transacting 61 days after first being advertised for sale, compared to 65 days one year ago and units moving from 61 days last year to an average of 59 days currently.</p>
