After being owned for 37 years by the Vrisakis family, Phalaris Stud at Rylstone is listed for sale with $2 million hopes.
The <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-other-nsw-rylstone-7980430" target="_blank">169ha Central Tablelands offering</a> has extensive horse facilities built by the former bow-tied Sydney lawyer Aleco Vrisakis and wife Mary Jane.
Inglis listing agent Sam Triggs says the property is ideal for equine pursuits as well as for Charolais beef production. Set 60km from Mudgee and 237km from Sydney, the farm is sown to phalaris, clovers and lucerne pastures.

Vrisakis family list Phalaris Stud at Rylstone

The retiring thoroughbred race horse breeder Joe Vella has sold Wingrove Park, his Macedon Ranges district at Kerrie.
Over the past forty years the Vella family have been successfully breeding, racing and selling thoroughbreds.
Vella and his wife Daira established it three decades ago, located 16 kms north east of Gisborne, positioned between world renowned studs, Sun International Stud and Spendthrift Stud.
There was a $5.8 million asking price for <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/property-other-vic-kerrie-7928066" target="_blank">the 86 hectare property</a> at 249 Mt Eliza Road through Elders Real Estate when it was listed in November. No sale price has been given by agents Nick Myer and Kellie Mutimer.

Wingrove Park, Kerrie breeding stud sold

The former centrepiece of Nathan Tinkler's Hunter Valley horse breeding empire is back on the market.
With cattle now grazing in paddocks, it has been on and off the market since 2014, when a mooted $120 million sale to Middle East interests collapsed.
More recently a Sutherland Shire family came close to buying.  
The Patinack horse breeding and racing empire was a dream venture of the former coal baron, funded in his desperate last days by the retailer Gerry Harvey who has yet to secure the full debt being repaid. 
Harvey holds first mortgages over the land which liquidators have set a May 4 offer deadline through MacCallum Inglis agent Michael Burke.

Tinkler's Hunter Valley horse stud listed

The thoroughbred breeding and horse racing empire Godolphin has sold Twin Hills race horse stud farm near Cootamundra in the NSW Riverina.
It's been bought by former Darley chief operating officer Olly Tait and his wife Amber.
William Inglis agents Jamie Inglis and Sam Triggs have not disclosed a sale price for the stud located 380 kilometres outside of Sydney.
The 1011 hectare property comes with eight houses and cottages along with its five bedroom Twin Hills homestead and a Howard Tanner-designed stallion barn.

Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum sold the stud due to an operational focus shift elsewhere, according to Godolphin managing director Australia Henry Plumptre.
"The Twin Hills Stud Farm has played an important part in Godolphin's success over the years and so the decision to sell has not been taken lightly," said managing director of Godolphin in Australia, Henry Plumptre.
"However, as our operations are increasingly focused on the Hunter Valley, Sydney and Central Victoria, the location of Twin Hills makes it difficult to consolidate our operations around our other significant landholdings.
"Ultimately, this will have no impact on the horses as the time they previously spent at Twin Hills will now be spent at other properties."
Sheik Mohammed acquired the property as part of a $500 million deal to buy the Ingham poultry family's Woodlands racing empire in 2008. 
Twin Hills was established by Ferd Calvin before being purchased by media personality Mike Willesee in the early 1980’s. 
Willesee developed the farm into Trans Media Park Stud, building world class facilities and standing outstanding stallions such as Snippets and Rubiton. 
In 1993, the property became an integral part of Jack and Bob Ingham’s Woodlands Stud. 
It was home to a large proportion of the Woodlands mares as well as stallions such as Strategic, Domesday and Derby winner Quest For Fame.

Since then it has played a central role in Godolphin’s Australian racing operations and has been the base for outstanding racehorses such as Appearance, Exosphere, Epaulette and Guelph.
New owners Olly and Amber Tait are set to return to Australia from England and begin the new business in April.
Tait spent many years with Darley in Australia, Japan, the USA and England.
The popular racing family was inducted in to the Australian Racing Hall of Fame in 2014 in recognition of its history of racing and breeding in the Riverina.
They worked with successful horses such as Baguette, Tie The Knot and Spinning Hill.

Godolphin sells Twin Hills stud

The thoroughbred breeding and horseracing empire Godolphin has listed Twin Hills race horse stud farm near Cootamundra in the NSW Riverina.
It has been listed by William Inglis director, Jamie Inglis and property sales manager Sam Triggs.
Twin Hills is 380km from Sydney and around 9km from the regional centre of Cootamundra.

Twin Hills Stud listed by Godolphin

The Malaysian billionaire Dato Tan Chin Nam has listed his Think Big Stud in NSW's Southern Highlands.
The 122 hectare property, listed through Inglis Rural Property agents Sam Triggs and Jamie Inglis, could fetch between $18 million to $20 million.
Think Big Stud is located at Bowral on the banks of the Wingecarribee River. It has been used to spell or breed four Melbourne Cup winners, two Caulfield Cup winners, two Vinery Stud Stakes, two ATC Flight Stakes, two Cox Plate winners and even the Prince of Wales Stakes in England. 
The original property purchase was in late 2006 with surrounding property purchases bought on the winnings of horse races. 
The billionaire is selling because of a lack of interest from his offspring in horse racing, the Australian Financial Review advised.
The property once known as Inverness Stud has undergone significant agricultural and capital upgrades and is now emerging as one of the feature boutique stallion operations in NSW.
Dato Tan Chin Nam bought the famous Inverness Stud at Bowral at auction for $3.525 million.
