After being owned for 37 years by the Vrisakis family, Phalaris Stud at Rylstone is listed for sale with $2 million hopes.

The 169ha Central Tablelands offering has extensive horse facilities built by the former bow-tied Sydney lawyer Aleco Vrisakis and wife Mary Jane.

Inglis listing agent Sam Triggs says the property is ideal for equine pursuits as well as for Charolais beef production. Set 60km from Mudgee and 237km from Sydney, the farm is sown to phalaris, clovers and lucerne pastures.

There is a 2000-built architect designed home and the facilities include nine box stables, an Olympic-size sand dressage arena and a 51m horse pool.

There are views over the Cudgegong Valley from the home located at the end of a driveway of Claret Ash and London Plane trees.
