The home of reality TV regulars Kevin Moloney and Janetta Stones has been listed for sale in the historic village of Maldon, Victoria.

The couple are set to appear on the upcoming third season of Channel Nine’s hit series Travel Guides.

The home, The Brambles was built in 1856 as the manager's residence for the town’s mine.

They purchased the home in 2000, renovating and extending it through the years.

They have been trying to sell since last January starting with a price range of $695,000 to $764,500 which they changed the price guide in May to $725,000.

In August, they took the home off market the most recent campaign has been running for 70 days.

Travel Guides duo Kevin and Janetta list historic Bendigo home

Victorian home builder Sherridon Homes is set to create a customer hub in Bendigo having bought a historic building in the heart of the town.

The hub, which will support growing demand for their homes, will service the wider area, including the Greater Bendigo and Shepparton regions.

Sherridon, who also have offices in Ballarat, Gippsland and central Melbourne, are preparing plans to submit to the local council to refurbish the commercial building at 2-4 Pall Mall.

They're seeking to remove to upper level hoarding to reveal and restore the original façade and windows, as well as turn the untenanted element of the 545 sqm space in to a colour selection showroom and office.

The building has a long history of commerce and trade dating back to the 19th century, and is currently partially tenanted, with a vacant portion most recently home to Dymocks book store.

Sherridon Homes, part of AHB Group, is on track to build around 1,500 homes this year across regional Victoria and Melbourne.

Its regional operations are headed up by seasoned industry professional Natalie King, the former managing director of JG King Homes.

The Bendigo residential market has seen consistent growth over the past 12 months, according to the valuation firm, Herron Todd White.
Bendigo's growth comes with increasing government support for first home buyers in regional areas.
"This increase in funding has seen a lift in new home construction rates in the Bendigo area particularly in the new estates around Epsom, Marong and Huntly," HTW noted.
With property prices rising in the capital cities, regional centres such as Bendigo offer first home buyers an opportunity to live in a new home within 20 minutes of a CBD for less than half a million dollars.
For homes under $350,000 in value, rental rates are only marginally cheaper than paying a mortgage.
A two-bedroom house at <a href="https://www.realestate.com.au/sold/property-house-vic-bendigo-125275950" target="_blank">2/10 Larritt Street</a> (picture above) sold for $292,500 recently.
Another two-bedroom house at 7/83-87 Arnold Street (below) changed hands recently for $338,000.

Bendigo attracting first home buyers

For the first time in more than 30 years, one of Bendigo’s premier historic homes is on the market.
Newington, on Barnard Street in Bendigo, has been listed by Barry Plant Bendigo.
The property was built in the late 1860s by stonemason, James Brierly, who is best known for building Bendigo’s oldest building, Specimen Cottage.
Alterations carried out in the late 1890s are believed to be the work of local architect, William Beebe, including the beautiful cast-iron trimmed front façade.
The building now has a number of modern conveniences including automated smart home technology, programmable hydronic floor and skirting board heating and top of the range appliances.
“Newington is testament to the stunning architecture of old Bendigo," Bill Williams, at Barry Plant Bendigo said.

The report found that, house and land packages on the city fringe have slowed on the back of increased supply.
The surrounding rural residential/lifestyle market is considered stable with steady demand and supply at present.
Local selling agents are reporting a shortage of stock
across all segments which is to be expected in the winter season, the report noted.
Many small to medium-sized developers are active, putting units and townhouses to the market with success.
This is predominantly within the central suburbs of Bendigo on infill sites and marketed to both investors and first home buyers.
Yields across Bendigo are generally slightly lower than that of other regional cities however the stable market conditions still attract investors.
The valuation firm's forecast for the Bendigo residential market is one of steady growth.
Many people will be following the RBA’s decision on interests rates as this has the potential to reduce demand on a macro level.

Older period homes in vogue in Bendigo residential market: HTW

Langley Hall, one of Bendigo's most historic residences, has been listed for sale.
It has been operating as a B&amp;B, fetching between $175 and $200 a night for a room.
The Edwardian landmark in White Hills was built in the early 1900s for Henry Langley, the first Anglican Bishop of Bendigo.
The mansion and its collective buildings comprise over 1,200 square metres, including a grand manor and chapel.
There are 15 bedrooms. In World War I the large living and dining areas were used as medical residential accomodation and the hall was a recuperation centre for returned soldiers.
The 9045 square metre grounds have been restored to maintain the vision of architects William Vahland and John Beebe.
Vahland is regarded as being the principal 19th century architect in Bendigo.
Castran Real Estate father and son agents John and Lachlan Castran seek offers by July 25.
Langley Hall last traded for $1.61 million in 2010.
It has been operating as a B&amp;B, fetching between $175 and $200 a night for a room.
Langley Hall, built in 1903 by the Anglican Church, is expected to sell for about $3 million with scope for a commercial redevelopment or residential subdivision.

Bendigo B&B Langley Hall listed for sale

The Federal Court of Australia has made orders winding up five companies involved in two land banking schemes known as:
<ul>
<li>Hermitage Bendigo (formerly Acacia Banks) located at Midland Highway, Bagshot, Victoria; and</li>
<li>Veneziane, located at Brooklyn Park Drive and Balmer Grange, Brookfield.</li>
</ul>
The following four companies entered into contracts for the purchase of land for rezoning and were involved in the promotion of the schemes and received money from investors:
<ul>
<li>Brookfield Riverside Pty Ltd</li>
<li>Bilkurra West Pty Ltd</li>
<li>Bilkurra South Pty Ltd, and</li>
<li>Gillies Road Pty Ltd.</li>
</ul>
The fifth company, Project Management (Aust) Pty Ltd (PMA), entered into project management agreements with each of the Project Companies that required the Project Companies to deposit all project revenues into bank accounts maintained by PMA.  This enabled PMA to exercise control over the Project Companies' finances.
Land banking is a real estate investment scheme involving the acquisition of large blocks of land by a promoter or developer of the scheme, often in undeveloped rural areas, who then offer portions of the land to investors.
Land banking companies typically promote the investment with representations of high potential returns if the land is developed, or if plans for rezoning and development are finalised.  Investors either purchase a lot in the land, or acquire an option to purchase a lot of land in an unregistered plan of subdivision.
Investors should be vigilant when investing in such schemes and seek independent legal and financial advice.  Investors should also assess their risk tolerance for this type of scheme.  ASIC notes that many of the promoters of land banking schemes offer access to lawyers and financial advice, but is concerned that those advisors may not be independent.
These types of investments may constitute a managed investment scheme and/or a financial product.  Developers and promoters should therefore hold an Australian Financial Services Licence and register these schemes with ASIC.
Nicholas John Martin and Andrew Thomas Sallway of BDO Australia were appointed liquidators of PMA and the Project Companies.
ASIC sought these orders as it was concerned that the project companies were insolvent, that $15 million money raised from investors had been transferred between companies without any apparent concern for obligations owed to investors and that the majority of funds raised from investors had been dissipated.
The Court found that the case for winding up each of the companies was compelling.
The companies were wound up on the basis that they were insolvent and that it was just and equitable to do so.
PMA consented to the winding up order being made.
In concluding that it was appropriate to wind up PMA on the just and equitable ground the Court found that its financial affairs were inextricably bound up with those of the Project Companies; that PMA had control over investor monies; it had intermingled funds and used them across the various land banking schemes; it had maintained poor documentation; and it took management fees out of the investor funds released to it.
ASIC Commissioner John Price said, ASIC will take action against entities that run schemes where investor monies are put at risk. 
"Investors should be very careful in ensuring that they understand the risks associated with land banking schemes and should ensure that they obtain independent legal and financial advice before making any such investments," he said.
ASIC filed its application to wind up PMA and the Project Companies on 26 March 2018. 
This application also seeks to disqualify Michael Grochowski and Ian Edward Stephens from managing corporations. This application will be heard by the Court on 17 September 2018.
This proceeding is part of ASIC's wider and ongoing investigation into land banking schemes. 
ASIC has already taken action in respect of:
<ul>
<li>Midland Hwy Pty Ltd (Midland) and Bilkurra Investments Pty Ltd (Bilkurra) operating the Hermitage Bendigo scheme (Refer: 16-114MR); and</li>
<li>Foscari Holdings Pty Ltd (Foscari) operating the Foscari scheme in respect of land at 99 Palmers Road, Truganina.</li>
</ul>
ASIC provided funding from its Assetless Administration Fund to the liquidators of Midland, Bilkurra and Foscari to enable the liquidators to conduct further investigations, including public examinations of individuals associated with those companies.
The liquidators also provided assistance to ASIC in its application to wind up the Project Companies and PMA.
