Wallabies star Nick Phipps and Macquarie banker partner Ebony Bamford have taken to the Queens Park market.

The couple, who bought their first home together in the parkside suburb last year, have bought another. It's the terrace next door.

There are no plans for a compound. It will become an investment as they see the area offering great growth over the next few years.

They've paid $1.7 million for the Victorian terrace which has been promptly leased at $1,100 a week, reflecting a rental yield just over 3%.

Built in the 1910s, the home with modern updates has two bedrooms, a study and a leafy courtyard garden.

Belle Property agent Edward Brown sold the home.

Phipps and Bamford last year spent $2,105,000 on the adjoining 1890s Victorian terrace on the tightly held parkside avenue.

Bigger in size, the home has three bedrooms - two of which come with a balcony - and a study.

Phipps still holds on to a two bedroom investment unit in Cremorne that cost $590,000 in 2012.

Phipps began his career at the Melbourne Rebels in 2010 where he was mentored by former Wallaby halfback Sam Cordingley.

He moved to Sydney to play for the Waratahs in 2014, the same year he played every Test for the Wallabies.

Phipps has been out for most of the season with a continual calf problem.
