What's new in Melbourne's Docklands? Here are five new amenities in the popular central neighbourhood
There's a reason every buyer in Docklands newest address, The Docklands Residences, is an owner-occupier.
The waterside suburb is beginning to take shape as one of the next sought-after areas, with a number of new luxury projects in the pipeline complete with top of the range onsite amenities.
The Docklands Residences will see buyers move in next month. Over 85 per cent of the development is now sold.
Designed by award-winning architects DKO, the unique mixed-use project boasts timeless luxury and beautiful apartment design.
Urban takes a look at five new amenities coming to Dockland’s thanks to the Capital Alliance development.
1. Hotel amenities and services
Set atop the five-star Melbourne Marriott Hotel, homeowners of the oversized one, two and three-bedroom Docklands residences will enjoy exclusive hotel membership, access to services and amenities and true luxury-living.
Provided by Marriott, an inviting lobby welcomes hotel guests and residents. Residents will have their own private entrance and lifts, and will be offered access to room service, housekeeping and a 24-hour concierge service.
2. Restaurants and ground-level cafes
Beautiful facilities at this development are not only exclusively for residents and hotel guests, with many new amenities open to the broader community.
A ground-floor restaurant and laneway café will be open to all who wander through the riverside precinct.
The ground-level lobby bar will also be open to all, featuring side tables designed to accommodate laptops for the ideal work-from-home setting.
3. Open-air infinity rooftop pool
Accommodating the demands of high-end homebuyers, Capital Alliance offers abundant lifestyle facilities to entertain and socialise in.
Curving around the top of the building, a 28-metre resort-style, rooftop infinity pool will feature an adjoining bar and 200-degree views across the Melbourne CBD and Port Phillip Bay.
“At night, tiny fibre optic lights at the pool twinkle to a spectacular effect”, said DKO director Jesse Lindardi, providing the perfect place for a poolside cocktail.
4. Winter gardens
An integral part of the building’s design is green spaces and natural connection, including planter boxes with built-in irrigation and winter gardens.
Each apartment in the Docklands Residences feature a private enclosed glass winter garden, allowing residents to enjoy stunning views of bay, city and Bolte Bridge during all months of the year.
5. Art installation in the lobby
Melbourne-based artist, Alexander Knox, has created an impressive sensory public art installation within the lobby of the building, creating a remarkable large-scale, multi-media piece.
The artwork draws reference from the site’s history and reflects the unique character of its Docklands location.
