Stage 1 of Riverlee's $2 billion New Epping project approved
Under the Building Victoria Recovery Taskforce, $194 million of work has been given the green light within Riverlee’s $2 billion mixed-use development, New Epping.
Due to its significant community benefit, the Victorian Government fast-tracked approval of a number of permits, including the delivery of 151 affordable housing apartments, a private hospital to be operated by Ramsay Health Care and other key supporting infrastructure.
The $133 million Northern Private Hospital will not only cater to the rapid growth of the northern catchment over the next decade but will greatly lessen the pressure on the adjacent Northern Hospital.
The fast-tracked approvals outline the importance of the project and the impact it will have on the growing region, said Riverlee development director David Lee, who is working collaboratively with the City of Whittlesea.
New Epping is set to become a vibrant city in the suburbs; the rehabilitation of the former Epping Quarry is one of the largest projects we have undertaken and will be one of the most rewarding due to the sheer impact it will have on the growing region, economically, environmentally and socially.
Formerly Epping Quarry, the development site spans 51 hectares and is set to be home to over 2,500 townhouses and apartments, a new health precinct and a commercial office precinct.
Other residential developments in the City of Whittlesea on the market now
Other developments in the surrounding suburbs will likely take advantage of the proximate masterplanned community in Melbourne’s north-east, transforming the area into the heart of a living, breathing city.
Among these projects are South Morang’s Trilogy Place and Jetts Park townhouse developments.
Located at 360 McDonalds Road, Gibson Property Corporation’s Trilogy Place project is offering the stage two release of their master-planned precinct. Designed by Rothelowman, the project will offer 55 two, three and four-bedroom homes, featuring flexible floorplans and customisable options.
Prices for the townhomes start at $457,000 for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom property and from $507,000 for a three-bedroom, two-bathroom.
Jetts Park, situated at 200 Gordons Road, offers 12 three-bedroom, two-bathroom townhouses, featuring wide-open spaces, quality fixtures and architectural design. Located closeby RMIT and LaTrobe University campuses, South Morang offers privacy and convenience just 30-minutes from the Melbourne CBD.
