DM Property and Icon Kajima's debut Geelong apartment development, Motif, has already sold 60 per cent of its 129 apartments.

This comes on the heels of a successful launch last November, marking Geelong's first apartment launch in several years.

Motif offers a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments across a five-level building.

The location's rarity for new apartment developments in Geelong played a significant role in achieving such remarkable sales figures.

"Motif is situated in an ideal location, and its progressive design credentials led by Rothelowman have positioned the development to address the sustained undersupply of apartments within the Victorian housing market,” Nick Sestak, Senior Development Manager of Icon Kajima, said.

The development is strategically positioned at 1 York Street, on the fringe of the CBD, a stone's throw from Pakington Street's vibrant cafes, restaurants, and bars, as well as the Little Malop Street precinct, home to the impressive Geelong Library and Heritage Centre.

Following on from their relationship born in Sandringham, DM Property has had renowned architecture firm Rothelowman handle the architecture of Motif.

Each apartment features an open-plan kitchen integrated into the dining and living spaces, providing views overlooking Keera Street.

Motif's south-facing one-bedroom layout offers a picturesque view of Keera Street through the windows.

For those looking for more space, the open-plan, two-bedroom design strategically places bedrooms on opposite sides for enhanced privacy.

Meanwhile, the grand three-bedroom layout caters to families or those seeking ample space. Two balconies overlooking bay views are accessible from the living area and as private extensions of bedrooms.

Two large bedrooms boast private ensuites, while the third room is adjacent to the communal third bathroom.

The ground floor hosts a generously sized plaza-like space landscaped by ACRE, providing a communal area for residents to gather and enjoy.

In a nod to sustainability, Motif is fossil fuel-free, with significant solar panelling offsetting electricity consumption, resulting in a 7-star NatHERS-rated building.

The various configurations on offer and price points will appeal to everyone, from first home buyers, young professionals, downsizers, and investors, both local and interstate.

Apartments at Motif start from $480,000. Construction is expected to commence early this year.
