Model Megan Gale and former footballer Shaun Hampson purchase Dollywood Daylesford
Model Megan Gale and her fiancee, ex-Carlton and Richmond footballer Shaun Hampson, have spent $805,000 on 1940s Daylesford weekender.
The model announced her purchase on Instagram.
Dollywood Daylesford is a renovated and modernist bungalow, which had been a $675 a night rental getaway for the couple and their two children.
It sits on a 538 sqm Central Spring Road holding.
Records show the property was sold on September 18, just 17 days later, for $805,500.
The vendors, ex-AFL player Marcus Baldwin and his wife Eloise Fox, had announced they were selling on Instragram.
They purchased the property in 2016 for $520,000 and the set about reinventing the style as a “Palm Springs with a dash of Cali coast-line."
It had been written up by Qantas, Time Out, Sitchu and Herald Sun as the top places to stay in the town.
It was listed with a $825,000 price guide, and the buyers being able to negotiate the furnishings if interested.
The home is within walking distance of the Daylesford township and set a 1.5-hour drive from Melbourne.
The couple paid $3.12 million for a four-bedroom home with a pool in Glen Iris in 2018, after Gale sold her ABERFELDIE home for $2.5 million in 2017.
