Three years after quitting Sydney, model Megan Gale appears to have decided to set up permanently in Melbourne.

Gale, and her recently retired AFL partner Shaun Hampson, have been renting in Melbourne’s east, but now the whisper is they have bought in suburban Glen Iris.

The Australia’s Next Top Model judge has secured a house that recently sold for $3.12 million. Unlike her current classic modernised cottage rental, it’s a contemporary family residence.

Gale completed her exit from Sydney in 2016 when she sold her former weekender at Palm Beach for $3 million. She had previously owned at Tamarama and Bondi Beach.

Gale had signalled this time last year that she was house hunting, and even hinted the couple may look to build their next home.

“After several years of looking for the ‘perfect house’, we are now considering creating it,” she told her Instagram followers. The couple have been renting a $1400 a week cottage in Malvern East, which returned last month to the rental market.

Their new home has four bedrooms on 860sqm. It also has a home office, sitting room with open fireplace and an adjacent billiards area, and a solar heated pool.
