Melbourne off the plan apartment developments completing construction in 2023
While construction costs still plague the industry across the country, a number of developers are still well on track to complete their residential projects.
We've looked across Melbourne and have picked the top three developments set to complete construction this year.
FORME
Developer: Mirvac
ASX-listed developer Mirvac's latest residential project, FORME, the last stage in the group’s popular masterplanned Doncaster community, Tullamore, is on track to be completed this year.
Construction is expected to wrap up sometime in the middle of the year.
There are just two-bedroom apartments remaining in the development, which have been designed by Mirvac’s award-winning, in-house design team.
The expansive two-bedders include large kitchens and light-filled living and dining areas, which seamlessly connect to outdoor living spaces, in the form of terrace balconies, with lush garden planters designed by renowned landscape architect, Paul Bangay.
Following an open-plan design, the kitchens incorporate reconstituted stone benchtops, along with brushed platinum tapware, fluted glass cabinetry and Miele appliance.
Full height, double glazed windows and sliding doors aid in the transition from indoor to outdoor living within the homes, whilst also inviting an abundance on natural light in.
FORME will comprise 92 apartments upon completion, and will sit alongside the sold-out Phoenix and Folia.
Due North
Popular for a combination of its rooftop amenity and low entry point, Due North, the Preston development by Caydon, will complete construction in 2023.
The project on High Street, in the heart of the action, will have 107 apartments across 12 levels.
Prices start from $610,000 for the two-bedroom apartments.
Located just 20-minutes from the Melbourne CBD, Due North draws on the suburb’s rich history, with its vibrant culture and diversity.
A maximum of 12 apartments will be spread across each level, with a mix of one and two and three-bedroom residences, along with a dedicated communal rooftop space, a co-working area in the lobby and three retail spaces.
The rooftop is the focal point of the resident amenity, featuring space for a work-out, a dedicated yoga lawn and gym area with weights and aerobics equipment.
The façade of the tower will display an industrial yet elegant aesthetic, with raw brickwork, exposed concrete, custom metalwork and glass, while internally, the apartments boast an array of stylish features, including timber floorboards, floor-to-ceiling windows, plush carpets in bedrooms, stone benchtops, integrated Baumatic appliances with optional Smeg upgrade and ample storage.
Gramercy Terraces
Developer: Lendlease Development
Lendlease's Gramercy Terraces, which are being built on the Richmond site once home of the Nine Network studio, are expected to complete in late 2023.
A majority of the 31 three and four-level terraces were purchased before construction even began, with all four-bedders completely sold. Just a selection of three-bedroom configurations remain.
The terraces have been designed to bring in as much natural light as possible. Each terrace features a full void and a backyard, while some have rooftop terraces with city views.
The architecture drew inspiration from the iconic Federation-era red brick of Bendigo Street, paying homage to those who formerly resided there.
Each home will be filled with pieces by artisan brands, including Jean Francois D'or pendant lights, Astra Walker tapware and Signorino stone benchtops.
The terraces have been designed to achieve a 6.5-star average NatHERS rating, with precast concrete partition walls and suspended concrete slabs used for greater thermal comfort and acoustic performance.
