Construction is set to begin soon on MATTONE, a townhouse development in Richmond by developer CADRE that promises to redefine sustainable living.

CADRE are committing to a fossil fuel-free lifestyle at MATTONE, with each townhouse set to be completely free of gas, ensuring a clean and sustainable living environment.

The exclusive collection of just 10 townhouses at MATTONE have been designed by renowned architects MAArchitects, known for their innovative and aesthetically-pleasing designs.

Energy efficiency is a top priority, with an impressive 7.9-star energy rating. The homes are nearly 100 per cent more energy-efficient than conventional constructions. Such energy performance translates into tangible savings, with residents projected to enjoy up to a 45 per cent reduction in their energy bills, benefitting not only the homeowners' but also the environment.

CADRE's commitment to sustainability extends beyond the individual homes. By implementing thermally broken windows and reducing heat transfer, MATTONE will reduce household CO2 emissions by up to 30 tonnes annually. This is equivalent to planting 1,500 trees each year, making a significant positive impact on the environment.

Furthermore, the reduced energy costs for heating and cooling in these homes are 500 per cent less than in an equivalent Victorian Terrace.

MATTONE embraces the power of solar energy, equipping each townhouse with individual solar panels. The panels not only reduce reliance on traditional energy sources but also enable residents to take advantage of renewable energy. The development also includes provisions for electric vehicle charging, aligning with the growing trend toward sustainable transportation.

To further reassure homeowners, CADRE is also offering a generous 10-year building warranty.

Aside from their eco-friendly features, MATTONE features up to three-metre high ceilings and Miele electric appliances in the stone kitchen.

The open plan floorplans boast natural light in abundance, thanks to full-height external windows and doors, with the thermally broken, double glazed windows reducing heat transfer during both summer and winter.

The development is situated in the heart of Richmond, offering easy access to public transport links and a short stroll to Melbourne's finest cafes, restaurants, and bars. Residents will enjoy the vibrant city lifestyle while also relishing the tranquility of their private outdoor areas, ideal for entertaining or simply unwinding.
