Lendlease unveil latest Collins Wharf apartment tower, Ancora
Joel Robinson April 30, 2024PROJECT LAUNCH

Following the success of its most recent Collins Wharf apartment tower, Regatta, ASX-listed developer Lendlease has unveiled its next stage.

They're launching Ancora at Collins Wharf, at 971 Collins Street, Docklands, having sold over 80 per cent of Regatta.

Warren and Mahoney has been engaged again to design Ancora, a 28-level tower with 303 residences that offer uninterrupted views of either Victoria Harbour towards the city or the Yarra River across to Port Phillip Bay.

Prices will start from $660,000 for the 276 one, two and three-bedroom apartments that sit in the Waterfront Collection.

The Premier Collection comprises 27 residences across a range of townhouses, penthouses, and larger-scale apartments that will soon become available.

Ancora residents will enjoy a hotel-style lobby with concierge service, a private dining room to entertain guests, and the lush, landscaped surrounds of two rooftop terraces located at level for and level 16 with panoramic views, plus a wintergarden.

Ancora will also connect to the neighbouring Regatta via a podium that allows easy access for residents to a range of facilities that promote wellness including an indoor swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room, gym and multipurpose rooms.

Designed as an all-electric building with electric vehicle infrastructure, the development will target 5 Star Green Star certification.

As part of the Collins Wharf precinct, Lendlease is delivering new public spaces. Ancora will be surrounded by over 5,000sqm of new parkland including a new green space being delivered in tandem with the residences. Designed by landscape architect Openwork and inspired by First Nations culture, it will feature Indigenous plants and include workout and fitness stations, covered seating areas, play zones, and open lawns.

Residents will enjoy being only a short walk from Melbourne’s CBD and the close proximity to Melbourne city’s best hospitality, sports, arts and entertainment while having access to exceptional transport options at the doorstep.

Early works for Regatta are already underway, with construction of Ancora set to commence later this year and anticipated for completion in 2027.

Daniel Dugina, Executive Director of Development at Lendlease, said the release has been brought forward in response to the demand from buyers seeking a quality home within this desirable waterfront neighbourhood, on the edge of the CBD.

“Ancora at Collins Wharf is the next stage of our ongoing commitment to deliver more housing in prime locations in Melbourne, with the precinct stretching the city’s famed Collins Street further westwards to engage with the water, connecting its maritime past with the contemporary vibrancy of the city.”
