Inside the completed Cappella Apartments in Reservoir
Alison Warters June 30, 2023PROJECT SPOTLIGHT

When Forte Group secured a prime Johnson Street site in the heart of Reservoir, they set out to create an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne's city.

That's exactly what they've done with Cappella Apartments, commissioning Hachem to design a building within a tranquil setting just 12 kilometres from Melbourne CBD.

Within the confines of Cappella Apartments, residents will discover a community fostered by welcoming shared spaces, ground level shops, and a communal garden.

The entry point sets the tone for the whole complex, featuring vertical gardens and a series of artworks.

Residents will find street-level retail spaces conveniently located just outside their door, while the communal herb and vegetable gardens will allow residents to collaborate and cultivate fresh produce together.

The apartments themselves are designed with modern living in mind. The lounge areas seamlessly connect to spacious balconies, creating flexible and interconnected living spaces.

The contemporary design choices showcase a balanced palette, offsetting crisp whites with timber accents, while flooding the interiors with an abundance of natural light.

Residents will have a wide range of recreational opportunities right at their doorstep, whether it's going for a refreshing run or a leisurely bike ride along the Yan Yean Pipe Track Linear Reserve or a game of tennis at the nearby JC Donath Reserve.
