R&F Property Australia continues to build the Kinnears Ropeworks Precinct in its $60 million site in Footscray.

Ropeworks is a thoughtfully designed masterplanned precinct that will include more shops, cafes, and various community amenities as it evolves.

Maribyrnong City Council granted approval for the second stage of the precinct in February 2021, starting with the construction of a five-level apartment building, The Millhouse.

The Millhouse comprises 95 one, two, and three-bedroom apartments with balconies and large terraces overlooking the surrounding suburb of Footscray.

Located just around the corner from the $1.5 billion new Footscray Hospital, Millhouse is the perfect home for those who enjoy cutting-edge architecture, complete local amenities, delectable food options and a tangible history.

Residents are within walking distance from cuisine restaurants starting with the Indonesian Kaki Lima Food Truck and Vietnamese Hu Tieu Go Ong Map, less than five minutes from the property.

The Millhouse will enjoy easy access to primary transportation links, with numerous tram and bus stops along Ballarat Rd and Footscray train station within a 30-minute walk.

The Footscray Market is adjacent to the train station, with a Kmart, Cheaper Buy Miles and several cuisine restaurants within the vicinity.

Heading north, residents are only a five-minute car ride to the Highpoint Shopping Centre, where Coles, Woolworths and several fashion and electronics stores can be found.

Beyond the retail and dining options, residents have easy access to abundant open green spaces and the Maribyrnong River.

Millhouse is only a seven-minute walk to Quarry Park and a 20-minute walk to Footscray Park.

Further, residents can enjoy a picnic overlooking views of the Burndap Park Lake or a leisurely walk along the Maribyrnong River Trail, just 20 minutes from Millhouse.

The Footscray High School - Kinnear Campus, Footscray North Primary School, and the Victoria University Footscray Park Campus are all within one kilometre from the property.

Designed by Hayball, the Millhouse takes inspiration from the textures and tones of the Kinnears factory. The architectural elements, including brick, corrugated metal, glass, and coloured concrete, pay homage to the site's industrial heritage while incorporating a layered landscape design to soften its strong lines.

Prospective homebuyers at Millhouse can benefit from up to $20,000 rebates and a rental guarantee of 7% p.a. for two years or a $30,000 rebate*.

The Millhouse apartments are slated for completion in 2024.
