How H1Land's Southpoint apartment development takes in the best of Highett
Multi-residential apartment developer H1Land grabbed one of the most connected blocks of land in the whole of Highett when they swooped on their Nepean Highway site back in 2020.
They had Rothelowman design Southpoint, two apartment buildings on the huge 4,330 sqm, one a rare 12 levels with views over Bayside, the other just four levels.
Southpoint will home a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments when completed in early 2026.
Future residents of Southpoint will literally have everything on their doorstep. The apartments are next door to Westfield Southland shopping centre, one of the biggest shopping centres in the country.
There are around 400 retailers in Westfield Southland, including Myer, David Jones, Coles, Woolworths, and Aldi, as well as a Village Cinemas for entertainment. There's also the nearby Highett Rd shopping strip north of Southpoint offering even more amenity.
Connectivity to the city is simple, with the direct access to Nepean Highway, a one-road entry into the city. Southland Station is also just across the road from the future project, offering regular and express trains that can take residents to the Melbourne CBD in under 30 minutes.
Bus routes radiate through the southeast from Southland, and the in-development Suburban Rail Loop will add another connection to Melbourne Airport via southern and northern suburbs.
Sporting and outdoor recreation surrounds the property, starting with Sir William Fry Reserve just across the road, extending through the four major golf courses, numerous sporting venues, gymnasiums and tennis courts nearby.
Melbourne's bay beaches are a quick 10-minute car ride, providing long kilometres of swimming, strolling, riding, or running alongside pets.
Southpoint also puts residents within two kilometres of some of Melbourne’s finest schools, including Mentone Grammar and Cheltenham Secondary College. Holmesglen Institute and Monash University are also just a short trip away.
