Property developer Hewson has appointed Cobild as the construction partner for their Armadale apartment development, The Carlile.

The Carlile comprises a limited collection of just nine full-floor apartments, strategically positioned on High Street, right near the Armadale train station.

The development is crowned by three full-floor penthouse residences, each with direct lift access and private garages.

Designed by Bayley Ward, The Carlile draws inspiration from the adjacent Art Deco architecture.

"A restrained palette of textured, coloured concrete and fine metalwork completes the composition, establishing a sensitive and tactile edifice that is unabashedly contemporary," Bayley Ward said.

"The two heritage buildings are retained, restored, and sensitively integrated into the development providing boutique retail tenancies fronting High Street."

A discreet vine-covered archway serves as the pedestrian entry to the residences, landscaped by Acre.

Each apartment features spacious living areas with oak flooring and floor-to-ceiling glazing offering uninterrupted views and doors opening to terraces with low-maintenance flowering plantings and trees.

A ground-floor north-facing unit has private gardens with a private swimming pool.

Kitchens, with an oversized island bench as a centrepiece, are well-appointed by VZUG appliances.

The master bedrooms feature walk-in wardrobes and ensuites, while some apartments include a library, a bar nook, and walk-in laundries.

Acre has also paid attention to the development's communal spaces, creating a café courtyard with a feature deciduous tree and an open aspect to the street, adding character and seasonal colour to the property.

The Carlile is situated just 10 kilometres from the CBD.

Cobild has already kicked off construction. The Carlile is slated for completion in February 2025.
