A rooftop pool is always impressive. But what about a sky pool which is suspended between two buildings? Our recent property tour took a look at Hawthorn Park, which features Australia's first-ever sky pool.

Watch the tour:

HAWTHORN PARK AT A GLANCE

Developer: Dahua Group

Architects: Rothelowman

Homes from: $611,000

Location: 33 Camberwell Road, Hawthorn East VIC 3123

Hawthorn Park completed construction of the 4-building development in early 2021, and to date majority of the residents are owner-occupiers, with just 1% of residences tenanted.

All apartment kitchens are very generous, offering plenty of prep space, integrated storage, and notched stone breakfast bars to accommodate barstool seating.

The flow between the kitchen and dining is open plan, extending to a deep balcony, with enough room for outdoor dining. There's also a 25-metre gap between buildings, letting in plenty of natural light. To secure your view, many of the homes in the area are actually heritage listed, meaning you're unlikely to be built out any time soon.

In the tour video, you'll notice the build finishes are completed to a high standard by the construction team at Hickory. The spaces are livable and flexible, with bedrooms tucked away rather than opening onto the living area. All configurations include two bathrooms, with the master offering dual vanities and wall-spanning showers.

All three-bedroom homes feature ducted heating and cooling throughout, a Gaggenau 5 burner instead of a Miele cooktop, a steam oven and dish warmer, upgraded stone benchtops and dual sinks. Three-bedroom homes also include two carparks, while all other configurations come with one carpark. In addition to your own parking space, there is also additional visitor parking, making it easy to entertain.

On level five, you've got an expansive garden terrace with great views of the city, giving you an idyllic spot for summer barbeques. Indoors there's a fully equipped kitchen and adjoining tv room – perfect for watching a game or hosting a movie night.

Also on level 5 is the impressive gravity-defying 25m sky pool. The pool is an absolute work of art, with half featuring a glass base to look down on the gardens below.

On the ground floor beneath the pool is a stunning landscaped garden where you can walk your dog, relax on a hammock with a book, or catch up with friends by the fire.

Despite how many amenities you'll have access to, owners corporation fees are very reasonable (see video for price estimates). Your annual fee also includes a weekly building manager and cleaner.
