The completed and sold out Akora apartment development in Armadale was a collaboration between architecture studio Martino Leah Architects and landscaper Pollen Studios, who worked together to create 25 individually crafted apartments in a tranquil, nature-filled setting.

Completed in 2019, Akora is set on the prestige Kooyong Road, which runs from Armadale through to Toorak, two of Melbourne's most affluent suburbs.

Upon entering Akora, residents are welcomed by the inviting entrance lobby, bathed in natural sunlight through a fully glazed wall. The space reveals a palette of bluestone and timber, evoking a sense of warmth and richness.

The living areas are designed to maximise open space and enhance the flow of natural light. Seamless connections between the kitchen, living, and dining zones feature timber floors, with the kitchens incorporating an integrated fridge, a long, single pendant light and a large island bench made of reconstituted stone.

The bathroom design at Akora follows the same philosophy of order and simplicity, utilising stone surfaces and clean lines, coupled with discreet lighting and black detailing.

Residents are well connected to the local area with the Wattletree Road trams, High Street cafes, Malvern Central shopping and Glenferrie Road's extensive retail strip.
