Adam Elliot, the Oscar-winning creator of the animated Harvie Krumpet film, has his Prahran Edwardian residence listed for auction.

The price hopes are $700,000 plus.

The two-bedroom, one-bathroom refurbished house has been home to Elliot since 2007.

Located on Fern Avenue, which is actually in Windsor, it comes with tall ceilings with antique French chandeliers.

It is scheduled for February 23 auction.

As he has always wanted to combine his home with a mini production studio, Elliot says he's now looking for new premises north of the city with his partner, Dan Doherty.

The couple bought the property for $600,000 in 2007.

The property has been listed by Fiona Martin from Hocking Stuart Armadale.
