New York-based fund manager Alwyn Heong secured around $26.5 million for his Rose Bay waterfront home some months back.

There had been an estimated $6 million renovation of the five-bedroom mansion, Indah.

Alwyn Heong had purchased the Bayview Hill Road property in 2006 for $18.2 million from mortgage broker Matthew Sample.

The property sold bullishly through Sotheby's in a six-week turnaround after being listed in April.

Mystery remains on the buyer but Title Tattle expects it is London barrister Georgina Black, described as a tenacious, quick-witted, charming, yet feisty matrimonial finance practitioner.

It will be a triumphant return home for the former Kambala pupil whose interests now are: Tibetan Buddhism, travel writing and yoga. She speaks French and Italian.
