Known for its lush rainforests, fresh produce and enviable lifestyle, Tasmania provides an acceptable alternative to life on the mainland.

Homebuyers are flocking to the island state as greater opportunities to work remotely arise and home prices remain relatively low.

According to CommSec’s State of the States report, Tasmania holds the mantle for the best-performing economy for the fourth quarter in a row, ranked first on relative population growth, equipment investment and dwelling starts.

Urban takes a look at three brand-new apartments in Greater Hobart.
