Return to Wategos for Love & Hatred's Giovanni D'Ercole
Love & Hatred jewellery designer Giovanni D'Ercole has returned to Wategos Beach at Byron Bay.
The popular designer has paid $4.3 million to be back on the exclusive strip, having sold off it back in 2006 for the hinterland.
He's recently secured a Christine Vadasz-redesigned 1960s timber-clad beach cottage, on an elevated 830 sqm parcel.
The two bedroom home sale was among the last secured through Nicolette van Wijngaarden at Unique Estates given the collapse of the boutique agency last month.
It comes with approval for construction of an expansive architectural home.
D'Ercole has been up in the Byron Bay hinterland in recent times after selling his earlier Wategos retreat for $3.14 million.
Last year he sold The River House at Coorabell to Melbourne based film makers Deborah Barlow and Martin McKenna for $3.7 million.
