Perth billionaire Ralph Sarich has purchased Brisbane's Waterloo Junction from Cambooya Properties for $47 million.

According to The Australian, the sale was by the private Cambooya Brisbane-based board which includes Timothy, Andrew and Emilia Fairfax as directors.

The Australian said the property was bought by Cambooya for about $37m in 2011.

The acquisition of Waterloo Junction was via Cape Boulevard, The Australian reported.

Sarich’s son Peter chairs Cape Boulevard Investments.

The sale of the Brisbane asset comes after Cambooya Properties bought a building in Sydney’s Crows Nest for $14 million.
