Stockland's Newport community in the Moreton Bay Region on the Redcliffe Peninsula is well and truly thriving.

Having kicked off development of the 143-hectare masterplan back in 2016, Newport is now a connected community filled with amenity, facilities, and thousands of residents surrounded by the coastal suburb's own canals and lakes.

Newport's own non-tidal, 22-hectare lake is a coastal dream. The lake lends itself to extensive water activities, from sailing to kayaking and even paddleboarding.

The well established precinct, under 40 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD and easily accessed by both car and public transport, also recently opened the Newport Marketplace at Lakeview Promenade which offers three precincts; medical, lifestyle, and food and beverage.

There are a number different health businesses including Chrysalis Dental Care, Newport Family Doctors, and Newport Physio and Health, while Serendipity Hair Newport and KLIF Lashes and Brows take care of the lifestyle needs.

There are five eateries at Newport Marketplace to choose from which cater for any time of day.

Sidonié Patisserie & Boulangerie is the morning pitstop. The French patisserie is open for coffees and pastries from the early hours, but also rolls into the afternoon and evening, with options for a waterfront high tea and European Cuvée, Brut or Rosé Champagne to match.

Si Baby focuses on the flavours of Italy, offering wood fired pizza and fresh hand made pasta. Fishport Newport is one of two fish restaurants, offering waterfront casual dining with premium quality seafood. Completing the food and beverage options at Newport Marketplace is Sushi Hyo, a traditional Japanese sushi train restaurant, and the new Vietnamese restaurant Que Dining.

Newport Marketplace is anchored by an IGA, which operates from 6am to 9pm every day. An extension of the IGA is The Grove Cafe, another option for coffee lovers, and The Leaf, a retailer for home decor and gifting needs.

There's even more shopping options nearby with the Kippa-Ring Shopping Centre, redeveloped in 2013, which has over 40 specialist stores including a Woolworths, Priceline Pharmacy, and a Gold's Gym. That adjoins the Peninsula Fair Shopping Centre, which has over 70 stores and services, from a HOYTS Cinema to car washing facilities and food and beverage options.

The shopping centres sit next to the Kippa-Ring Train Station which connects the region to Brisbane CBD and Brisbane's international and domestic airports. There's also an extensive public transport network across the Moreton Bay Region for local trips.

The Newport community is also only a couple of kilometres from Kayo Stadium, home of the new NRL team The Dolphins.

Given the prime location at Newport, as well as Stockland's long track record of delivering quality homes for over seven decades, opportunities in the coveted community have been at a premium.

Stockland has saved the best until last with their most recent release, The Lake Residences, a collection of just 15 four and five-bedroom homes each with their own private marina berths.

Each townhome has its own private plunge pool and outdoor shower, looking out to Newport Lake. The townhouses, designed by Hollindale Mainwaring Architecture, are well under construction by top tier builder McNab, with residents expected to move in in mid-2024.

The townhouses are ideally located in the Newport masterplan. Their Aqua Street location will put residents next to Lakeview Park, and just a short walk down Lakeview Promenade to Newport Marketplace.

Coming out of Lakeview Promenade and heading the other way, residents will meet the AFL Sports Complex and Nathan Road Wetland Reserve.

The Lake Residences have proven popular with those from New South Wales and Victoria who are seeking a lakeside, boatie lifestyle.

Stockland's latest liveability survey shows nearly 90 per cent of residents at Newport call it a desirable place to live, with proximity of local parks and natural environment (97 per cent) and the ease of walking or cycling around the community (90 per cent), the most attractive characteristics of the masterplan.

Stockland Newport was recently awarded Excellence in Masterplanned Communities at the 2023 Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) Queensland Awards.
