The new Monarch Residences by Consolidated Properties Group is set to take pride and place in the heart of Toowong.

It's location at 600 Coronation Drive is one of the key selling points of the project, which is why Consolidated, along with joint venture partner Qualitas Group, snapped up the site for $35.5 million from Sunland in March 2022. The site has been vacant since 2006 when the ABC decommissioned their operations.

Positioned on the last significant riverfront parcel of land in Toowong, future residents of Monarch Residences will have the beauty of the Brisbane River on their doorstep, with the convenience of the city just minutes away by ferry or train.

Monarch Residences, which has had a strong sales run since being launched through Colliers last month, is ideally located for amenity, just across the road from the recently upgraded Toowong Village shopping centre and striking blue glass office tower.

Toowong Village recently welcomed a new 4,000 sqm Woolworths and has a range of fashion outlets such as Juniper & Co, Sussan and Moda Elegante. There's over 20 food options for dine in and takeaway, 10 fresh food stores including the Woolworths and Coles, and department stores Kmart and TK.Maxx.

While having extensive amenity on the doorstep and the Regatta ferry terminal to access the city, Monarch future residents can be on a train within five minutes of leaving their home. The Toowong Station is located next to Toowong Village, and has a direct train into Brisbane. It's just a seven minute train to Roma St Station.

On top of amenity and connectivity, Monarch's prime location on Coronation Drive also captures nature. It will be set among 1.2 hectares of landscaped gardens which capture nearly 130 metres of Brisbane River frontage. Also just up the road is the Toowong Memorial Park.

Consolidated Properties opted not to develop a third tower on the site, instead incorporating the proposed landing area for the new green pedestrian bridge which will connect Toowong to West End.

The $450 million project also includes the restoration of the heritage-listed 150-year-old Middenbury House.

Within walking distance from Monarch there's a host of cafes and restaurants, including the Corner Store Cafe, Pitch and Fork, The Rich Pour Coffee Cart, as well as the Regatta Hotel & The Boatshed and Barolos Italian.

Monarch's inner-city location benefits from being near to a number of hospitals and education. The Wesley Hospital and the Westside Private Hospital are just a short drive either side of the site, while The University of Queensland isn't too far away, located near the river in St Lucia.

St Ignatius School, Brisbane Boys' College and Toowong State School also surround Monarch, located just off Coronation Drive and Sylvan Road.

Monarch has been designed by Cottee Parker Architects and John Wardle Architects and will offer 224 luxury apartments spread across two 15-level buildings. The building will also include 482 car spaces.

The building will also feature a range of amenities designed to enhance residents' lifestyles including a rooftop pool and BBQ area, gymnasium, private dining room with kitchen facilities as well as secure bike storage.
