Late last year Pacifico Investments launched Florian in Surfers Paradise, offering buyers a riverside-facing lifestyle not usually on offer in Surfers Paradise apartment towers.

Drawing inspiration from the lifestyle of the French Riviera, Florian takes advantage of its river-facing Monaco Street location, oriented to overlook the river.

Pacifico also had prominent interior designers Coco Republic keep the French Riviera theme going inside the apartments, which feature light, coastal tones.

The project saw huge demand due to its uniqueness, and sold out all of the two-bedroom apartments.

Pacifico Director Carl Knaggs said they saw a gap in the Surfers Paradise apartment market that didn't hit the mark for a lot for owner-occupiers.

"Most of the buyers have been local owner-occupiers," Knaggs said.

"We really hit a gap in the market where owner-occupiers were priced out of the real boutique, luxury apartment blocks on the beach, and didn't want to reside in a high density tower."

Now with 30 per cent sold, Pacifico have appointed Alex Scionti's Rocking Horse Construction to handle the build.

Scionti, who is also a director at Pacifico, established Rocking Horse Construction in 2014. Since then they successfully delivered over 30 apartments projects, the most recent an award-winning project in Brighton Le Sands and one in Baulkham Hills, both in Sydney.

Knaggs said it's important during the current construction climate that they're able to work with Rocking Horse on the project.

"Securing a builder is a big confidence booster for buyers who are seeing projects across the Gold Coast not go ahead," Knaggs says.

Rising 17 levels, Florian offers just 45 residences, a mix of two and three-bedroom apartments.

The apartments feature full-height glass windows and high ceilings which flood each home with natural light, while oversized balconies provide panoramic views of the river, parkland, and hinterland.
