Australian adventurer and author Denis Bartell has listed his canal home on Bribie Island for $1.09 million.

The four-bedroom property on Banksia Beach was built by architect Brad McLachlan.

Situated on an 839-square-metre allotment, the property includes an in-ground pool and a 10-metre fully serviced pontoon.

“The moment you walk through the secure gatehouse, you will be overwhelmed by the attention to detail, design, fixtures and fittings throughout,” says listing agent Shane C Richards of Ray White.

“There are many prestigious homes on the island attracting some of Australia’s wealthiest due to its privacy and secluded lifestyle,” says Richards.

The property has been on and off the market since 2008.

Bartell has raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

The median house price in Banksia Beach is $475,000.
