Fresh off the success of its under-construction Amaya apartment development, Amalgamated Property Group has unveiled its latest installment in the booming Broadbeach.

Amalgamated, in partnership with Base Developments, has drawn back the curtain on Affinity Broadbeach, 180 apartments on the sought-after Chelsea Avenue, on the same street as Nikiforides Family Park between Kurrawa Beach and Pacific Fair Shopping Centre.

It's the first new development in Broadbeach to hit the market fresh in 2025.

The two and three-bedroom apartments across the 39-level glass tower will each feature open-plan layouts, with sizes starting from 115 sqm for the two-bed apartments and 180 sqm for the three-bed apartments.

The living areas feature floor-to-ceiling windows, with balconies extending off the main spaces to maximize coastal views and natural light.

A unique feature for future owners is the large space between Affinity’s eastern side and its neighbours due to the developer purchasing multiple lots and prioritising keeping this large vertical space open instead of expanding the building footprint.

They've reserved that space for the heated outdoor pool set in extensive landscaping, creating a more private space for residents. Affinity will also feature a gym, sauna, yoga spaces, and several communal lounges and private dining areas for resident use.

Carly Cottam, CEO of MOTIV Group who is in charge of sale, says the Gold Coast property market continues to demonstrate remarkable resilience, with discerning buyers increasingly prioritising quality, location, and most importantly, the reputation of the developer and builder.

"Affinity stands out by offering an affordable luxury option, perfectly positioned near the beach, vibrant dining, and retail precincts. With such strong off-market interest to date, it is clear, demand for premium residences remains robust. Whether seeking a lifestyle retreat, downsizing, or rightsizing, buyers are drawn to the seamless blend of convenience and elegance that Affinity provides.”

Graham Potts, Principal and Founding Director Amalgamated Property Group, says Affinity Broadbeach meets a genuine need in the market.

“We’re thrilled to be adding another residential development to our Queensland portfolio and in particular, on the much sought-after Gold Coast," Potts said.

He said they have the added bonus of having their own in-house construction team, Capital Constructions Queensland, which will bring buyers confidence in the project delivery.

Dennis Milin from Base Developments and Director of Capital Constructions Queensland said the successful 20-year partnership with Amalgamated has resulted in numerous award-winning projects, focusing on spacious designs, functional amenities, and high-quality construction.

"This success is driven by our collaboration with a skilled and reputable team of architects, designers, engineers, and trades, alongside our experienced in-house construction professionals," Millin says.

"We are excited to soon deliver another leading collection of homes in Broadbeach which will perfectly complement the Gold Coast lifestyle."

Capital Constructions Queensland will commence construction in Q2 2025, and expect to complete in 2028.

Broadbeach continues to be a sought-after destination for local owner-occupiers and interstate investors, driven by its location just south of Surfers, and home to popular attractions like the Broadbeach Bowls Club, Kurrawa Surf Club, and The Star Casino.

The suburb's popularity surged during the pandemic, with strong price growth recorded throughout 2021 and 2022. While the market saw a brief correction in 2023, growth stabilized in 2024, maintaining steady annual increases of 10 to 15 per cent, according to CoreLogic data.

Amalgamated Property Group has been busy paving the way in changing ACT’s property landscape over the last two decades. They have been responsible for premium developments such as Kiara, Ivy, the Oaks 3-stage precinct and Civic Quarter in the ACT, as well as Sierra Grand and Verve in the Gold Coast, and Aurora in Brisbane.

Amalgamated was also responsible for developing the first luxury homes within the prestigious Parliamentary Triangle with The Griffin project - a huge achievement in the most prominent landscape of Australia’s Capital.
