Canberra-based national residential property developer Amalgamated Property Group (APG) has launched their Broadbeach apartment project, Amaya.

In partnership with Base Developments, the DBI-designed tower at 30 First Avenue sits just 300 metres from the beach, with the 33-level tower delivering a mix of two and three-bedroom apartments.

Amaya marks a return to the Gold Coast, and Broadbeach market for APG, who previously developed the Old Burleigh Road tower Verve.

Principal and Founding Director of APG, Graham Potts said the new Broadbeach development signals the group's continued growth across Australia.

“We’re excited to be re-entering the Queensland market with this modern blend of luxury and lifestyle in the heart of Broadbeach and we’re pleased to be welcoming prospective buyers through our display suite which will showcase materials and features from not just the homes themselves, but also the amenities on a large scale, so it is very special," Potts said.

“We’re extremely selective with our site locations and are committed to supporting developments that add value to a city’s urban infrastructure which is exactly what Amaya does for the Broadbeach region."

Amaya has been designed to create constant connections with nature, from the views of the Hinterland and the ocean waves, to the surrounding greenery of the parks and streets, says Senior Director of CBRE Residential Project, Nicholas Clydsdale.

“Amaya’s peaceful location and the fact that there are only 4 homes per level, means that residents will enjoy great views from the 33 level tower with more privacy, so coming home will feel like returning to their sanctuary near the sea,” Clydsdale said.

“We’re excited to be working with Amalgamated and Base on such a premium development; a development team with a strong financial backbone to enable construction to commence so soon adds extra confidence for buyers.”

The building’s distinct form is characterised by individual yet harmonious east and west facade designs, with the eastern facade featuring soft horizontal bands that emulate the rhythmic waves of the beach, balanced by glass panelling, while the west facade incorporates clean vertical expressions of glass and textures, that play with the shadows of the setting sun and at night, create a visual effect of an elongated glass lantern on the Broadbeach skyline.

The residences will feature a light yet sophisticated palette that pays homage to the natural timber, stone and sandy hues of Broadbeach, each generously proportioned and highly functional.

Floor-to-ceiling windows draw ample natural light into each of the homes, while connecting the indoor spaces to the outdoors, creating a seamless flow from the living, kitchen and dining space to the balcony.

A podium level, reminiscent of a beachside resort, will house the development’s amenity offering, with a sauna, steam room, resident’s lounge and dining room, a pool, gym, outdoor patio and recreation space and barbecue facilities all tipped for the tower.

A display suite has also been set up in the heart of Broadie, giving prospective buyers the opportunity to see an Amaya apartment up close. The display suite will also have 3D modelling technology available, giving buyers the opportunity to explore the whole development through a totally immersive experience.

Having already received strong interest from both local and international markets, including plenty of previous Amalgamated purchasers, it is expected the 120 Amaya apartments will sell out ahead of completion which is slated for 2024.

Being 100 per cent Australian owned and operated and with a commitment to sustainability and community engagement, APG has been busy paving the way in changing ACT’s property landscape over the last 20 years. The group has been responsible for developing the first luxury homes within the prestigious Parliamentary Triangle in the ACT with the Griffin project, in addition to project such as Manhattan on the Park, Ivy, the Oaks three-stage precinct and the award-winning Civic Quarter.

Potts earlier said the new Broadbeach development signals the group's continued growth across Australia.

"Celebrating the quintessential Gold  Coast lifestyle, Amaya showcases our desire to create homes that meet a genuine need in the market,” he concluded.
