One of the most prestigious residential apartment projects to hit the shores of Australia has officially launched to market.

The $250 million Masthead Ocean Club has already been inundated with inquiry, developed in a joint venture by the highly-credentialed Australian businessman, Rory O'Brien and UK-based Banda, which is a world leading interior design studio and development business, founded by the husband of Princess Beatrice, Edo Mapelli Mozzi.

Edo Mapelli Mozzi founded Banda in 2007 and has grown the company from niche London developer into burgeoning global design practice, known for crafting environments which are both intrinsically beautiful and functional.

“This project forms part of Banda’s evolution and global expansion journey. We currently have projects underway in London, New York, Doha, San Salvador, Alps, and all over Europe,” said Mozzi.

“We had been looking for the right opportunity to bring us to Australia and Masthead is absolutely the project we’ve been waiting for.”

28 whole-floor apartments are on offer in the project, including one penthouse, two sub penthouses and five Sky Homes, which have been exclusively designed by Banda, with the further 20 residences, which capture sweeping and protected views of the Pacific Ocean, Broadwater and Hinterland, designed by Australian-based group, Mim Design.

Each whole floor apartment in Masthead Ocean Club will provide 317 sqm of luxury living, picturesque views from every room, private direct and secure lift access, double garaging, outstanding interior design, and state-of-the-art technology.

The two ultra-deluxe sub penthouses crown the development, spanning a massive 634 sqm each, topped by the grand penthouse, which flaunts over 1000 sqm of living, including its own pool, gym, golf putting green and more.

BDA Architects have also been appointed as architects on the project, with O'Brien saying they have all worked merticulously as a team to create a truly spectacular development that promises a 7-star resort experience and ultra-luxe amenities.

“I am truly delighted to be working alongside Edo to launch this unprecedented product to the Gold Coast residential market, the likes of which has never been seen before in Australia," O'Brien said.

The development will be set in a prime position, adjacent to the beachfront at the highly coveted northern end of Main Beach, dubbed the ‘Golden Triangle’ for its proximity to premier lifestyle destinations.

The Southport Yacht Club and Superyacht Marina, Main Beach Surf Club, and Spit parklands each sit within a stone’s throw of the development, as well as Marina Mirage and the latest dining and entertainment precincts currently in the pipeline.

Masthead will also see the delivery of one of the world’s most elite in-house residents’ only clubs providing an ultra-luxe comprehensive amenities range, to be known as ‘The Ocean Club’.

With membership only accessible via a Masthead apartment purchase, the “Ocean Club” will encompass premium in-home facilities including a sophisticated wine and champagne lounge, whiskey and cigar room, private dining space, coffee bar, sky high library, and business meeting areas – all with panoramic ocean, coastal, and Hinterland views.

Members will also receive additional benefits from distinguished luxury brands including Chairman’s Club membership to Levantine Hill Winery in The Yarra Valley, participation in Newgate’s 2023 racing syndicate, which will also include attendance at select race days in Newgate’s own suite at Randwick Racecourse, and a complimentary new gleaming BMW electric car.

Residents will have 24/7 access to a health and wellness club where they can rejuvenate in a wet edge pool, spa, steam room, and sauna, while fitness enthusiasts can relish in a state-of- the-art world class gym and unwind in yoga and Pilates studios.

“No other project in Australia offers residents such extensive private and secure luxury facilities but shared amongst so few people - in our case just 28 owners. This is true prestige,” O’Brien added.

Highland, a full-service real estate company with more than 40 projects currently in market along the eastern seaboard from southern Sydney to the Gold Coast, has been appointed as the exclusive selling agent for Masthead Ocean Club, with CEO David Highland saying Masthead is the most exclusive residential offering available in Australia.

“In my view, members of Masthead Ocean Club will receive premium living, spectacular picturesque coastal views, state-of-the-art amenities, exclusive club membership, and real value for money," said Highland

“A purchase in Masthead which includes 650 sqm of Ocean Club, is like getting two apartments for the price of one."

“Never again will a product of this calibre be delivered to the Gold Coast. Masthead Ocean Club will offer buyers something very special and unique.”

Masthead has all approvals in place and construction is anticipated to commence in the coming months with completion scheduled for 2024.
