Port Melbourne gem Melbourne's most expensive sale
In a follow up to yesterday's article, a Port Melbourne gem trumped both top sales mentioned by RP Data and sold for $5.175 million.
RP says the sale was not included on their list as they were not 100% sure of the sale price.
The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home passed in at its November 30 auction at $5.025 million, after four bidders tackled it out.
The property sold immediately after auction.
Set over four levels, the home boasts an earthy façade of timber, copper and zinc designed by SJB Architects.
The home features polished concrete floors on the ground level, a home cinema, feature staircase, lift and Gaggenau appliances.
The master bedroom’s bathroom boasts twin showers, marble topped basins and an Italian bath.
The rooftop levels acts as a viewing platform over Melbourne and the bay and includes a pool, sauna, outdoor shower and Delonghi sushi barbeque.
Also featured is a suspended private viewing platform.
The 222-square-metre lot, with plans and permits, was purchased in 2006 or $1.6 million.
