Retired engineering manager Phil Talbot and his wife, horticulturalist Gloria, are selling their Melville, Perth home with $1.85 million to $2.25 million hopes.

The four-bedroom hilltop home was designed by architect Geoff Warn.

It has views over the Swan River, city skyline, Kings Park and the Darling Range.

The home was built around exposed recycled steel beams.
