An original home in Queens Park that had been held by the same owner for the last 59 years has sold for $5.62 million at auction last night.

The double-fronted Federation home sits on a 726 sqm parcel on Queens Park Road, directly fronting the park on a dual access corner block.

Built in 1915, the five bedroom, two bathroom home is one of Queens Park's signature Federation homes.

It comes with a level north facing garden and a fully fenced swimming pool

Properties around the home have been turned into luxury residences.

The Blacket Agency Double Bay agents Peter and Jacqueline Blacket sold the home.
