Why I bought an apartment in Castle Hill's $850 million masterplan, Carrington Place
Ellipse Property's $850 million Carrington Place masterplan in Castle Hill has recently kicked off with the launch of its first stage, Atrium, which will be the gateway to what will be one of the area's greenest communities when completed in 2032.
There's been a wide range of purchasers since the first 151 apartments were launched in the project back in October.
A recent buyer was Lauren Spencer-Salt, a primary school teacher at St Andrew’s Primary School in Quakers Hill. She secured one of the larger-sized two-bedroom apartments in Carrington Place.
Lauren said she researched various projects in the area including the likes of Rouse Hill, Kellyville, Quakers Hill and The Ponds, before ultimately selecting Carrington Place.
She said the interior design was a really important factor.
“I wanted a layout where I had a bigger living area. I wanted open-plan living," Lauren said.
“When I went to Carrington Place, not only were the size of apartments larger, because I bought an oversized two bedroom with a study and a family room, all of the upgrades offered were already included. It had everything I wanted."
The apartment came with Miele appliances as standard and feature wooden floors. Lauren said the only addition was sheer curtains because she said it brings light into the interior room.
"I was particularly drawn to the project's neutral palette and luxurious finishes, which allows buyers to imbue their living spaces with their own style and personality. There was also a huge array of apartment configurations or layout options to choose from which other surrounding projects just didn’t offer."
Situated directly opposite the Hills Showground Station, Carrington Place stood out due to its thoughtful design and the developer's reputation for excellence and reliability.
The vibrant community, coupled with its proximity to transport links, development of the Showgrounds precinct with new cafes, restaurants and shops coming, made Castle Hill the perfect choice for her forever home.
"I’m going to have a lifestyle and I know all the upgrades, what they are doing at the Showground, cafes and shops and to know that I’m amongst and apart of that," Lauren added.
Another factor in the purchase was the integration of the natural landscape from Cattai Creek, creating a harmonious living environment. Additionally, the precinct will feature over 20,000 square metres of recreational space, making it one of the greenest master-planned communities in the Hills district.
Ellipse Property’s Head of Development, Nigel Farquhar said it is nice to see purchasers like Lauren realising their dream of homeownership at Carrington Place and really buying into the vision they're creating.
“We are so delighted to see buyers so happy with the quality, location and service,” he said.
“We believe one of the greatest attributes of Atrium is being part of a master-planned community – a sense of neighbourhood that connects well-designed natural internal landscaped amenity with the Cattai Creek future nature walk.
“The project boasts a broad range of unique floor plans, curved architecture with superior quality finishes and many larger-sized apartments that gives people a strong sense of home with the Metro Line on their doorstep”.
Carrington Place's first residential stage, Atrium, offers 151 apartments within a mid-rise eight-storey building, boasting rooftop recreational spaces with stunning views of the surrounding landscape and Cattai Creek.
The Hills Shire Council has a 30-year vision for the redevelopment and revitalisation of the Castle Hill Showground Precinct, located directly opposite the Carrington Place project, planned to create a new 15-hectare entertainment and recreation hub including a variety of community, arts, sporting and leisure activities. The iconic Showground site will become the primary civic space for a new precinct of the future local Hills communities.
Located directly opposite the Hills Showground Metro Station, residents of Carrington Place will have access to Sydney’s CBD, Chatswood, North Sydney, Macquarie Park and Norwest Business Park. With trains operating every four minutes in peak hour in each direction, residents are offered the highest convenience on Australia’s first driverless railway.
Construction is planned to commence imminently by iCIRT-rated builder Decode, with Stage One Atrium due for completion in Q4 2025. The entire five-stage precinct is due for completion in 2032.
